I am deeply disappointed with the services provided by Dick Law Firm regarding my ongoing case against my insurance company. Our case, related to water pipe damage in our home, began in March 2023, and we have experienced poor communication and a general lack of professionalism from this firm throughout the entire process.

From the start, getting any meaningful updates has been a struggle. Our calls were met with vague responses, often dismissing our concerns by stating the case could take "six months to two years." While we understand that legal cases can be lengthy, the tone and attitude from the staff when we sought clarity were consistently dismissive and, at times, downright frustrating.

The most concerning incident occurred in May 2024 when our property was scheduled for an inspection by the insurance appraiser and the court-appointed umpire. Despite this appointment being confirmed with [Law Firm Name], they failed to provide any representation at the meeting. This oversight has caused further delays, extending an already drawn-out and stressful ordeal.

As of today, October 2024, after dealing with this case for over a year and a half, I received notice that Dick Law Firm has dropped the case, and nothing has been resolved in our favor. This entire experience has been both unprofessional and disheartening. I would not recommend Dick Law Firm to anyone seeking reliable, attentive legal representation.

We received a small payout with a set amount from insurance before we signed with this firm. Insurance finally mails it out months and months later.

They took half of a check that they did not work to get. I would have gotten this check regardless of signing with them or not.

UPDATE!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! They are trying to bill be for items that never took place. They say they did certain things on certain dates but its not true. We had a meeting we had to attend in march, they are trying to bill me for it claiming it took place in January. This is one of many items that are false. They say they have sued these agencies 100s of times. All talk..... They refuse to fix it. Its my opinion they are scammers.

It’s been over 7 months and they have made no progress. Honestly I don’t think they even know what happened with our claim. We never did a call or anything to get the details.

You can’t get ahold of anyone, we had a great public adjuster that was extremely organized, kept everything. Our case should be an easy win, but they make it seem like this is brain surgery.

My home flooded over a year now, I’ve paid for the repairs out of pocket.

This group is a joke. I've been promised settlement money on my lightning strike claim for over 6 months. I get zero follow-up and every time I call I get a different excuse. When they needed paperwork notarized, they called me every day. Avoid this "law firm". They are dishonest.

1 star is still too much. My case still open and it's been more than 2 years. They took almost 80% of the pay from insurance and list out with whole bunches of stuff that we not even aware of on the bills. They left us little amount that not even enough to replace our roof. They suggested us to pay out from our pocket to replace the roof and they will request for the reimbursement from the insurance. Unfortunately, it never happen. My case now still open and my mortgage insurance increases more than double and the pay we get from this case is not even enough to do anything. Please consider twice if you about to choose him to represent you.

No communication whatsoever. Obtained their service on 12/7/22 and to this date, 9/21/24, not one Attorney has spoken to me about my settlement. Settled my suit and Insurance company paid Dick Law Firm on 5/24/24. Was not notified about settlement. A Rep from Accounting called on 9/1/24 to notify me the payment was on hold because they were waiting for an invoice from the Appraiser I called the Appraiser & he was paid 5/26/24. Rep Quoted attorney fees of $1800, then a week before my check is to be mailed, the Firm added over $2000 more in fees. When I received the check, the date on it is 8/19/24. How can check be dated 8/19/24 and it not be mailed until 9/10/24? Very unsatisfied with the Law Firm

Mr Eric snd his law firm took the time needed to work the insurance company to our desired settlement , he wasn’t the fastest firm in the business but he was the most qualified and got us a huge settlement for our home and driveway repairs ,highly recommend him and his team of lawyers if you want a full check.

I would read all the bad reviews before deciding to go with this law firm. Once you read them, run! Pretty sure their 5 star reviews are paid for considering when I first started with them 2 years ago they did not have over 200 reviews. And yes, that's right. It took TWO YEARS before we finally got our settlement. And to make matters worse, they took over 50% of what was settled with the insurance company which left us with not even enough funds to cover all the repairs needed on the house. Their fees and expenses are OUTRAGEOUS (outside of their cut they take). 2k for appraisals? And like many others have said, it's like pulling teeth trying to get anyone to get back with you. They will never call you to give updates on your case. Makes you wonder what you're paying them for. Most of your time will be spent trying to get in touch with someone, anyone to get an update on your case. If you know what's good for you, look elsewhere. All the 1 star reviews have warned you.

Not communication between their staff as well as non communication with me regarding my home insurance law suit, they offered a settlement of $5,000 in December 2022 which is was ridiculous since I have an estimate of well over 50,000 to replace my kitchen since it suffered extensive damages due to the freezing storm in February 2021.

They sent me a check of $8,500.00 in April 2023. In December I got a call from this office telling me they reached out a settlement of $20,000 which I declined.
Since then no one from this office had called me so I call them today, (7-24-24) to be informed they already settled my lawsuit at the court behind my back and by law my case needed to be closed.

Corrupted and neglectful at the most.
