What a wonderful surprise! A DMV office in town!

My brother in law needed to take his driving test. Instead of heading down to Bakersfield, he was able to take it here.

The staff here is awesome! When have you heard anyone say that about a DMV office? So much better than the one here in Pasadena!

I'm going to use this DMV for as many things as I can!

I have family that live in Wofford Heights, and it was suggested to me to go to the DMV in Lake Isabella because it was quite small compared to most DMVand for the most part very few people in there.
I live in Bakersfield and i was on my way to see my family and needed to go to DMV, so I felt it a perfect opportunity to take advantage of this small quaint DMV and I’m glad that I went to register my new car and show proof of my insurance. There were two people in line & 2 people who worked there that day and they were both very nice & very knowledgeable.

By the time I got to the counter, I was there not more than five minutes, and I was done with everything!

So, Just a food for thought, if you have some business to do at DMV and you have some time on your hands, make a day of it and take care of your business at the DMV in Lake Isabella and go have a nice lunch by the river or the lake.

Got here at 9:30am. Got a number at 10:15. Got text to get in line. then they called the number before mine and it's been another half hour. Rude customer service. Packed waiting room.

I gave it three stars but only because of the people behind the counter that were helping us. The DMV is turned into a mess. We're paying higher and higher amounts of money now I know why, they have computers that do a lot of the work now. And there are all kinds of new rules and laws and regulations that the first day I was there there was four of us and they sent three of us home. Not another soul in the place. Then of course the next day long line with three seniors in front. And they were all there to renew their licenses and were directed to computers, after they had student line a long time of course, and needless to say like myself as a senior couldn't figure out how to use the stupid things and the people behind the counter were so busy that they couldn't help them so those poor folks got stuck sitting there for almost as long as I was there which was 45 minutes. But fortunately every time they had the opportunity they would try to help somebody sometimes doing double work. Kudos to the people there. Down for the system (typical evil government
Bureaucracy).

Good people. They can't help the corrupt politicians. I had to pay a year of registration for one month of coming off non op before I again paid for the year. A year charge for a month is robbery

Made an appointment for the Real ID for my driver's license renewal. In and out in less than 30 minutes. With the online portion of the Real ID application with all my documents uploaded ahead of time, I was done in no time. Always friendly and helpful here as well.
