After the communication issue, Mauldin & Jenkins did end up reaching out to me to apologize for the situation. They then offered to still take care of my taxes at a severely discounted rate. I agreed since I was in such a pinch and I couldn’t be happier with the service from Bob Huel. He is professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and communicative. He completed my taxes and walked me through the process within a few days after submitting my documents. I couldn’t be more relieved and grateful to the team at Mauldin & Jenkins for taking the time to take care of me.

I called to schedule a consultation for help with filing my taxes at the start of September, and I was told that I would receive a call back once I was matched with a CPA. I waited about a week, nothing. I called back, and was reassured that sometimes the match-up takes time, but my case would be seen soon. It's now going on week four since the original reach out, and unfortunately there was never any follow up. As a result, I feel like I'm having to scramble to make other arrangements with a different firm. I'm not sure if something got lost in translation here or what, but it's very disappointing and disheartening either way. That being said, the woman who originally answered my calls was lovely!

With our 2018 tax returns being quite different from previous years, we had expected more problems. My wife turned 70 1/2 during this period.
