I just graduated with my masters degree last week. I have been attending KU for 6 years. KU legal services has always been quick to help in the few times I’ve reached out to them. Today, I called to make sure they could still assist me even though I am no longer a student. They could so I emailed them and asked if they could look over a lease that my fiancé and I were wary of signing. However, the lease is for a place in Colorado which is out of KU legal service's scope. I sent a series of images in a zip file with the lease (since I couldn’t print/create a pdf without signing). Kate P. promptly responded and even made the images into a pdf - so nice!! She said that her team had called the University of Boulder Colorado and talked to their legal services. She sent a link to their resources and let them know I’d be reaching out to schedule a consultation with them. Overall, amazingly helpful response that was so quick and easy!! Our consultation over zoom with the legal services at the University of Boulder is set for tomorrow BECAUSE of the work KU legal services did for me. I highly recommend!
