The people that work here are truly amazing. Always so helpful, polite, caring. Seems like I never have to wait. It is unlike any other dmv office I've been to. I almost look forward to going there ?

We went and got our marriage certificate here and the lady was very rude and hostile towards me. I didn’t catch her name but she had blackish brown hair. She rolled her eyes at me multiple times and would only address my husband. Their scanners broke and she scoffed and rolled her eyes at me when I asked to wait a few more minutes to see if they could get them working. They did within a minute and then she looked at my husband and said “because she doesn’t feel like waiting and has to have it now they are gonna do all of this for y’all.” It only took them about 30 seconds or a minute to finish it. Everyone else was nice but she was extremely rude and hostile. It completely ruined my experience of getting married which is supposed to be a happy time.

I recently had an interaction with the Foley Probate office and they were beyond helpful, especially for a government office. I had to use power of attorney and they were not only very considerate and polite on the phone but she printed the form and had it ready for signature before my other party arrived.

Literally the most UNHELPFUL people ever. My husband and I got married in November, we sent in our marriage certificate, then apparently the court didn’t approve of it because it was missing ONE date. They sent it back but never informed us and we have YET to receive it. I literally had to call them to find out. All of our information is floating around, along with the money we sent. We went months thinking we were legally married. the court needs to CALL people if there’s a problem with a certificate. I’ve called multiple times and they refuse to help, I just keep being told that it’s my problem and I need to fix it. They are the ones who LOST my certificate! AVOID this place at all costs! Now I have to fill out, and send a whole new certificate and our wedding date won’t even be the day our ceremony was. I’m so disappointed.

My husband went in to change his last name to mine and was greeted with hostility by Elaine. She made it very clear that she did not want to help him by sending him out two separate times and not answering his answers completely. He finally said, "Look. You are not helping me and making it to where I don't even want to do this anymore." She responded with, "Good." Why would you even serve the public if you are going to be horrible with how you treat them?

I called today to get assistance with a marriage certificate. Was on hold for over 30 minutes and transferred 6 TIMES only to get to the “switch board” where I was given a phone number to contact the probate court directly. The number they gave me was the number I had dialed and was on the phone with. I was then told by Jenna “there is nothing I can do to help you.” What great customer service! Can’t believe I have to go through this much trouble to get help with our marriage certificate.

I've been talking with Elaine specifically for a few months now regarding a legal name change, and while she's been helpful, she's been hostile and uncaring in more situations than helpful.
This whole process could have been severely shortened if she would have given me proper procedure and recommendations for this request, and now I have a few expired documents because of this lack of help.

none of the employees wear masks, which goes against the state order, it’s very discouraging to see that no one here cares about the health of others, i feel uncomfortable every time i have to come in, if i had a choice i would not come in here at all
