We got off to a bad start when an assistant answered and said their lawyer had not logged in yet, and asked us to call back in half an hour. Called back in 30 minutes, and got placed on hold again. My mother-in-law and I sat on hold for over 2 hours. Got to a "next in line" message which kept repeating for another 20 minutes. Then the recording switched to "we are now closed" and the phone line automatically shut off. This is absolutely the most unprofessional organization I have ever encountered. I don't care if it's "free legal council". If this is how they conduct themselves, I would really have to question how valuable their advice is to begin with. I think I would have been better off consulting a magic 8 ball and a ouija board.

I was in contact with this agency for over a year after spending 6 months speaking with other law offices I couldn't afford. As of today, I've still never met with an actual attorney, except for the one representing my ex. During this time, I also reached out to DHS, TESSA, and Catholic Charities, but received almost no assistance.

I found a lot of false hope and no action. It's disheartening when a woman finds the courage to leave a coercive relationship only to receive no help in her efforts to rebuild her life. These agencies are supposed to prevent this from happening. I spent the last two years begging for help, and now my ex is getting away with tax evasion and fraud because he can afford an attorney, and I can't. In 2024, this is an unbelievable but harsh reality.

This entity should be audited because I can gaurentee they are not actually providing the community with the assistance they claim to. Do better!

Hello I called serval of times tonight and was disconnected 5 different time i was the first person at 7pm got as far as explaining my question and was disconnected . So i called back a dozen times after that and was disconnected 2 more times after making it to #1 and my call will be answered next I even answered the operators question and when she transfers the call she disconnected me. Im calling because i have a question that is important enough to take the time

The Justice Center is only in existence to act like lawyers are giving back. They qualify you for their service and then never call you back or update you on their progress in finding you legal help. The people are rude and short with you.

Been using this place for a month supposedly. Applied for legal aid and am still waiting for any kind of response in the meantime I'm forced into doing everything Pro Se. Poor form. No real aid available. It's horrible.
