I recently had an unfortunate experience with Stephen's firm that I feel compelled to share.

On Friday, January 3rd, Stephen contacted me regarding an outstanding bill, which came as a surprise since I was unaware that my initial retainer had been exhausted. Naturally, I requested an itemized list of charges to understand the balance. However, Stephen repeatedly insisted that I already had this information, despite my clear communication that I did not.

Following our conversation, I received a message stating that I had an overdue balance and that interest would begin to accrue if not paid by January 15th. This was concerning, as I had still not received any detailed breakdown of the charges.

In my experience, transparency and clear communication are crucial in any professional relationship, especially when it involves financial matters. Unfortunately, this was not my experience with Stephen's firm. I would advise potential clients to consider this aspect before engaging with them.

I could not be happier with Steve Vertucci. Honestly, I had quite a disdain for lawyers after my divorce, having had to deal with many of them, Steve is not only a great lawyer, but he's a really good guy. He's effective, thorough, and genuinely cares. Steve has helped me through every step of the process of dealing with custody issues in a corrupt legal system. I only wish I had him from the beginning. Anyone who has to go through the difficulties of divorce? You should have Steve on their side.

This is the best law office in the state of Colorado, maybe even the world. A hill, that every day of my life, I would choose to die on. I went through an absolute hell. This law office was my shield, sherpa, and savior during a 3+ year flood of darkness and despair. I was accused of abusing my child. My child was coached, and the system missed it, the system failed and was ready to throw the book at a father because he is a father. The Law Office of Stephen Vertucci didn’t allow that to happen, they fought as furiously as any parent would want for their child. They work as tirelessly as any person would want their attorney to work to clear their name and bring truth to light.

As many have mentioned, every phone call or email was answered with genuine care and compassion. I believed in my attorney, Joanne. Even when everything seemed to fall apart, most often moments before an in-person hearing, I believed in her, had faith in her, and trusted her. I went to many hearings, and always believed that Joanne was the most experienced and intelligent person in the room, leading further to my trusting in her.

I cried on the phone, cussed, cursed the universe, even lost my sh*t a few times and Joanne was always there to reassure me and calm me down. She always made me feel better and assured that everything would work out, and it did! Nobody “wins” in custody battles, nobody, ever. I can say though that when all the ink dried….I didn’t loose, even when most of the time it felt like David and Goliath, and Goliath had tanks.

I will never forget the work that everyone at this law office did for me. They gave me my life back when all seemed lost. They brought a father and daughter back together after they were wrongfully ripped apart with no contact allowed. These people are angels, and I have been blessed to have found them. Thank you Joanne, Stephen, and Jamye!!!
