I have hired around 8 lawyers in my life and had probably 15 or so total, for various reasons, in several different states and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.
Shawn Hamp and his partner Matthew Springer were initially somewhat effective in communicating with me in a timely manner (even if only acknowledging my emails, repeatedly responding that they would be forwarded ‍♀️) then suddenly stopped replying to my personal emails as well as countless messages left with multiple different receptionist, just stopped giving me updates and stopped relaying information to me pertaining to my case and in regards to concerning documents being uploaded to my online client portal with no explanation, such as counseling documents to sign that I never agreed to, as well as a document that had an additional added charge of assault (?!?!) Numerous failed attempts were made on my behalf, sometimes multiple times on a daily basis to get in contact with both Hamp and Springer to inquire about these concerns. I finally made a negative review (on a platform where they somehow have accumulated a deceiving 4.9 star rating) and was miraculously emailed by Matthew Springer for the first time since 6/14! The email stated that they were now withdrawing from my case and refunding my money leaving me with no lawyer and a court date less than two weeks away. Biggest waste of my time and energy and ultimately ridiculous given their reason to withdraw was “breakdown in communication.” Which it certainly was, however, not on my behalf. I should have been entitled to reasonable and fair communication, given I was a paid client but for whatever reason they found it best to simply refund my money totally throwing me under the bus. Extremely unprofessional and incompetent. If you see this and still choose to hire them, good luck! To update this review : I just want to be clear that they did in fact, refund me my money in full, which I appreciate. At the same time, the very next court date I had, the prosecuting attorney I spoke with agreed to totally dismiss my case upon a successful completion of an anger management class, online, which I completed within 48 hours..ultimately resulting in a total dismissal. My review still stands being that I was seeking a dismissal and made that clear before I hired them.

I highly recommend this law firm to everyone. I only wish they practiced in Texas. If you need an attorney, look no further. I'm from Texas, born and raised, but a short stint in Arizona I got pulled over and charged with DUI, however, they made it a felony stating my license was suspended. I never had an Arizona D.L., only a Texas D.L. Anyway, to make a long story short, the DUI was 2006, and I had documentation that all charges had been squashed back then, but years later I was informed by a TX DPS officer that I had a felony warrant in Arizona. By the Grace of
God it wasn't extraditable. I tried for years trying to take care of this, but nobody knew anything, until Hamp Law Firm. It took them a little over a month, give or take, and they got my felony charges dismissed, warrants dismissed, they gave me my life back. I'm not looking over my shoulder anymore.
