TLDR - DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!

I spent about half a million dollars on legal fees and four years working through my divorce. It was a complex case. Overall, for most matters, Hinds was not prepared and he was caught off guard on numerous occasions. Here is my breakdown on Hinds and Hinds

Strategy Development and Execution - 0 out of 5 - Hinds had no strategy. He couldn’t articulate the strategy when I asked what the case strategy was. Bob would simply describe the current situation, but could never speak to what the case strategy was.

Paperwork - 4 out of 5 - Hinds & Hinds is pretty good at doing legal paperwork. I’m guessing this is probably more about the paralegals than Hinds, but I would say if you just need paperwork done correctly, Hinds would be a great option. I would even have given them 5/5, but paperwork was usually completed very last minute (but done correctly).

Communications - 1 out of 5 - communications was pretty terrible. For example, we discussed ways to modify my parenting plan. When Hinds changed his approach to my parenting calendar, he never notified me (I have a feeling that he simply forgot to file in a timely matter). Hinds forgot to send me a bill from one of the experts he hired. By the time I received it, it was six months late and it was already past due. Also, Hinds rarely responds to emails. Instead, he writes letters on Hinds letterhead and his paralegal sends you a PDF copy of the letter. You can imagine how inefficient and slow this approach is for routine communication. It’s probably a way to charge more for simple communications. Don't believe me? I'm attaching an example of a portion of the bill I received... $200 to "draft letter" and "email letter to client". Their invoices are full of stuff like this.

Overall, very disappointed by Hinds and Hinds. Divorce is a frustrating experience, save yourself some headache and go somewhere else for your legal representation.

After the divorce I relocated across country, this process was buttoned up by Nathan and all contingencies were addressed. I had no issues after the courts accepted the agreements.
