Super nice officers .. spent the night at a rest area in town under the advice of an officer . A month later went to same place and was woke by a female officer , with a rough demeanor but more than fair and asked me to leave as no overnight camping was posted , new sign ? . ⛺️.. love the local police .. ❤️

I don't remember the name of the officer that picked me up from Pikes Peak Reginal Hospital around 3:00 am this morning, but he was a the highlight of the night. I am visiting from out-of-state by myself and didn't have anybody to take me home. He picked me up and we had a great conversation on the way home. Tell him that he won't ever be forgotten.

Chief Deisler, Captain Areseneau and Lt Crist all promised me that they were there to weed out the corruption within the Woodland Park police department after I had a traumatic experience with 3 of the officers. I felt validated and heard. 2 of those officers are no longer with them except Courtney Ledvina. She was promoted. I do however believe she won't be there for too much longer as she is dishonest and corrupt. The chief, captain, and lieutenant I believe will get rid of any and all corruption within the department and I am grateful for their integrity

What do you have to do to keep kids from getting hit by motorists who run the stop sign at Pinon Ridge and Evergreen Heights? There are parks and schools within close proximity. You were enforcing it briefly but maybe kids safety lost out to something........more important?

I’ve had positive interactions with a few different officers who work for the Woodland Park Police department. I really love this town, and it feels much safer than other places I’ve lived. After the officers I’ve met, I’m sure the police department deserves some credit for Woodland Park being such a safe place to live.

I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this police department for strictly administrative purposes. Firstly, the department overcharges for VIN verification & fingerprinting. Secondly, talk about less than professional. I am a polite person, and respectful to LEO, as I was formally a police officer, I understand the daily grind. However, that does nothing to exonerate their treatment of citizens. On the phone I was absolutely talked down to by "Karen", on another occasion during a VIN check both the officer (wish I knew his name) and desk secretary were, for a direct term, jerks. Multiple occasions, same behavior. Leading one to believe this interaction with citizens is common, maybe enforced by the entire department. I will rely on CSPD for anything from this point forward, making a longer drive is better than being subjected to second class treatment. If I owned a shop, not a chance I would offer any discount to anyone hailing from Woodland Park PD, why would I? When they're already making extra money from by overcharging! VIN verification is often done for FREE, fingerprinting is ~$15, not as WPPD it's $21.

We were visiting your beautiful town when a deer ran out in front of us and seriously damaged our car. Officer Rodriquez came to our aid! He was compassionate, professional and so helpful! We will be forever grateful for his assistance!

Pesky and annoying to visits passing through. Can't use the rest area properly. Can't even park at a pull out near town if it's dark. They'll tell you "no camping". Not what I was doing but ok
