Worst experiences ever with this attorney! Today was the THIRD court date (over 4 months) of Nicole not withdrawing from my case after I fired her. The court has contacted her multiple times and she still has not withdrawn from my case so I can hire another attorney. My calls have not been answered either. She took my retainer $$ and ran with it. She’ll take any amount you offer her so better off taking your money to another attorney that WILL RESPOND TO THE COURT at least. Nicole Shepter should and needs to stop practicing law.

Nicole has been representing me for about 3 years now and she has got me through alot. She never promises anything but gives me advice and let's me know what she realistically can do for my cases and I always appreciate that about her. As she does this mostly all by herself with her own law firm, I think she is an amazing person and a great lawyer. She may not pick up the phone or text me when I call but she always gets back to me even on off hours. Her prices are fair and she goes above and beyond when I need something, so thank you for being an amazing lawyer and at this point a good associate friend

Take your money to a different law firm! I was suggested to Nicole from another female attorney (who wasn’t able to take on my case at the time) for my family/criminal case. When I first met her, the conversation went great and she thought an appeal for my family case was appropriate. Criminal charges for protective order could be dropped with 2-3 years and then I could file for weekday overnights again to our order (my children have been staying over night more than 50/50 with me and the family court has not modified it on my end yet)
Fast forward a year later, absolutely nothing has been done with my charges and then she changed her mind on the appeal so we withdrew it- THEN she suggest I don’t go to trial and just plead guilty on all protective order charges. She completely flipped our original agreement and was talking about settling with probation of 5 years!
When I disagreed with her, she stated “look into getting a different lawyer then. AND you still owe me.”
Right before this conversation in the courthouse she texted me on lowering the “balance” since she didn’t go through with the appeal and made it feel so transactional instead of talking about MY CASE. Getting to the importance of a case should be a priority over discussing financial matters, especially during the day of the case.
I thought I was making a great decision in hiring her but now I understand why she always had low rating reviews.

Atty. Shepter was referred by a trusted and experienced lawyer I have used several times, due to him no longer making court appearances. Upon hiring I was asked for half the money up front for a simple misdemeanor possession case, $750. I hired another lawyer for a seperate case and they were supposed to handle each seperately, after 2 appearances, which were in and out continuance, the second lawyer I hired represented me on all cases for much cheaper than what atty. Shepter charged me for the one case. Time passes and I had asked for a refund or representation on a civil matter, to which she said she was not experienced but could refer me to another lawyer in her office who was. Since I had already paid her a retainer I insisted we work out a deal since I had all the evidence I needed for the case anyway. This went back and forth for the better part of 2 years with large periods of time in between due to personal and public situations. Now I ask for nothing more than a refund for services that were not provided and this has turned into a major issue to get my money back. I asked to be refunded $400 and to have it sent electronically to save time because of the financial position i was in, but miss Shepter decided to not respond after explaining my situation and the urgency for the money to be sent immediately. So I reached out to the original lawyer that referred her to me so that he may get her attention to respond. After being patient for long enough, it had run out. Now the only offer I have been given is to have a check mailed to me which is absolutely uncalled for since everyone has the ability to send funds electronically, which she flat out refuses to do. I explained I need the money for necessities like toilet paper milk etc. to which she could not have cared less continuing to insist on mailing a check. I explained I have kids in the house and I need the money immediately and this fell on deaf ears. My experience with this person has been utterly terrible. If your considering hiring this (so called) lawyer, I recommend you find someone else, literally anyone. If I could give zero stars I would, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. If she is referred by someone, I recommend you do your own research on this lawyer and you will see she has no good reviews at all.

Nicole came highly recommended by a different attorney and I have a high level of confidence in her experience and work ethic. She is very well spoken, friendly, and accommodating. Able to simplify complicated situations and perform at a high level of expertise.

She charged me 600$ to write my name and address on 5 pieces of paper and told me the amount of work that she was doing would take about 2 hours and made it seem like there were so many things to fill out in these documents with all of the information on my case that I gave her… When I got the documents back I was shocked to see it was exactly what I had done before I even reached out. And then to top it off she took over 2 weeks to fill in my name and address on these papers… and she just kept replying “later today” “very soon” “sorry for the delay” “this should’ve been done a while ago” “I’m sorry I sound like a broken record”… I was looking for help and this was just horrible , I feel taken advantage of and I do not recommend.
