Their services are real bad …secretary very rude ..lawyer are very poor on communicating they would speak with o you one time give u hopes and never hear from them again …they always in court or off they need to work more on communications and manners …I can only imagine how this people who are in jail feels about calling for his place ..I wouldn’t even put not even a star

Why create these types of services if you aren't gonna help anyone? You are just collecting funds and money from the state to try your best to push people away. These programs are such a scam its disgusting. To many of these in westchester County. The lady didnt even let me talk or finish a sentence. She spoke fast and over me to get me off the phone and just no.

It takes days for them to contact you. The receptionist acts like she doesn’t want to take messages. I just feel they need to be better .

The staff, via telephone, are paralegals that should not be providing any legal advice since it is illegal by law.

They responded to my inquiry promptly.

The staff sounded overwhelmed, as they rushed to provide an answer prior to fully understanding the problem.

I'm very pleased with their hard working staff on a number of occasions that I've needed them. I would highly recommend them for guidance and support in times of inequality and financial hardship and unnecessary injustice

Whether you decide to deal with the legal aid or not will obviously depend on a number of factors... One of course will be your financial situation. And remember you will always hear that saying "you get what you pay for".

With that said, I can't say my experience with Westchester's legal aid was pleasant.

The attorneys I dealt with were either too busy, or didn't care. In confidence there were also some off the record comments made that were completely uncalled for and unprofessional.

If you can afford it I would look elsewhere.

The worst legal aid services in the world. My lawyer has not contacted me in over 3 months. She never calls me back if I leave a message, the front desk always hangs up on you, even her secretary doesn't call you back or help get in contact with her. My case has been open for 9 months and still no word about it. This is the most incompetent, unprofessional legal aid society around. I will be making a complaint.

Whoever answers the front desk calls are disgustingly rude and disrespectful. Out of all the places I called I’m assuming this one was the only disrespectful ones because it is for low income. Shame on westChester county.
