Approximately one year ago, my life was dramatically changed forever when my wife had me incarcerated into jail, where I stayed for a week while my family coordinated efforts to fund the excessive cash only bond that I was being held on. Despite the greatest odds of a win, I still was afraid to pursue it with such a good plea being offered leading to a guaranteed conclusion.
Attorney Jennifer Kusmer additionally deserves recognition as well in her efforts and assistance with my case. Jen was very understanding, informative, etc, and just like Joe had such a pleasant personality one desperately needs when dealing with trying situations such as this. Ms. Kusmer got me the best possible outcome with my misdemeanor case (2nd degree harassment and 2nd degree property damage). First off, a condition of my bond was to wear the GPS ankle monitor. I only had to wear it for two months before Ms. Kusmer got my bond modified and the ankle monitor removed. Ms. Kusmer got me on SIS (Suspended Imposition of Sentence) for a period of two years. However, I only had to serve one year of probation because Ms. Kusmer successfully filed a motion for early termination of probation and the judge granted the motion. Not to mention my ex-girlfriend falsely accused me of violating an order of protection in which Ms. Kusmer successfully get those charges dropped. My background check is finally clear with my successful completion of probation. Ironically, I had to get my criminal background check cleared to get a job in my career field of criminal justice. Now I have three interviews next week. Ms. Kusmer definitely understood the assignment.
