What a joke! We never did get our bankruptcy finalized. Tomi kept putting us off. We never did to talk to the lawyer. Two years and nothing but a waste of time! We threatened to get another lawyer and they did return some of our money. She couldn't even find all our paperwork. Very unhappy!! Do.not hire these people. They should not even be in business. Probably going to turn them into the Better business bureau!

I'm updating my review, not for bad but for good reasons. Klinkhammer law has still been handling my auto accident claim, and Tomi has been making sure I get treated fairly with everything that has transpired. I still recommend them. I appreciate everything that they are doing for me and what they have done.

I gave him $6500 and I got nothing but sign me off because he didn't finish everything before court and I going too court by myself in January without lawyer and I'm hard hearing guy with hearing aids thought be nice too have lawyer could be my ears and eyes but he seems like memories lost of all paperwork. Now I'm screwed 6500 dollars lawyer didn't help get my son back and been over year I haven't seen my son so far. He doesn't seem understand between parents and children. He very nice but not getting things done as 34 years experience lawyer and I'm 35 years drywall hangers and I getting things done for my customers and my customers always happy with my work. Not fair both ways.

My soon to be ex husband hired him over a year ago and we are still not divorced all because he won’t sign one paper the (final order). I have health issues and need a surgery but can’t get it because I have no insurance until I am legally divorced. He takes your money and then does nothing for you.

In July of 2021 I paid Mike and his wife $2300 to file bankruptcy. I wasn't even sure that was what I should do. She gladly took my money and gave me paperwork to fill out. I returned the paperwork to her and after several weeks, I called her back, she said she needed pay stubs, etc. I sent them within a couple of days. Later she calls me to say my paperwork has been lost and she will need to come by my house (on a Sunday) to fill it out again, at that point, she completed my paperwork and I was to meet with them on Wednesday.
I arrived at the office and texted her (because the doors were locked) and she said "oh no, next Wednesday". I went the following Wednesday and she was still pulling up the value of my car and needed yet another copy of my DL & SS#. This was the first time I met Mike (7 months since my initial payment). He had no clue about myself or my situation. I feel as if he had never looked at my paperwork. I stressed that if there were any chance I would lose my vehicle, I didn't want to go through with it, they both assured me it was no problem.
The first time we were to meet with the Trustee (I had to take time off for this), Mike had not even submitted my paperwork. It had to be rescheduled for the following week. Next thing I know (and I had already received a reaffirmation agreement for my vehicle), Mike is calling me (after 9 at night) to say they are taking my vehicle, because there was a "typo" in the paperwork submitted on the value of my vehicle. Beyond being scared to death, I was furious. Again, I said I didn't want to go through with it.
Communication had been scarce at this time, but it became near non-existent after this. I talked to him on a Monday and he said he would call me Wednesday, it was a month later before he responded to me. I met with him again and let him know I was highly disappointed and dis-satisfied. He went as far as saying "I will give you back half of your retainer so you don't say bad things about me". He was to call me the next day because I wanted the case dismissed, it was 4 days later when he called and left a message (at 830 pm). I left him a voicemail the next day, he didn't respond for 2 weeks.
I had to retain another attorney to help sort his mess out.
Very unprofessional, unethical, negligent and no respect for stressful situations. I would rate a negative number if you could go below a 1.

Through a misapplication of our covenants, our landowners association sued us threatening to take our homesteaded protected property from us. After an online search we found Mike who suggested we also declare bankruptcy. Mike not only masterfully handled our bankruptcy, but also managed to get the underlying lawsuit dismissed. Throughout the process Mike and his paralegal Tomi, was always there, promptly returned all of our calls and emails and held our hands step by step through then entire process.

The bankruptcy judge not only ruled in our favor but wrote a scathing rebuke ordering the lien on our property removed. We got exactly the outcome we had hoped. In a state with a population of about a million people, Mike is truly a shining star. I wouldn't hesitate to use Mike again and highly recommend the Klinkhammer Lawfirm.

Mike takes on to many cases. He is impossible to get ahold of.He should just be a counselor becouse all he does is listen about your case then does nothing to follow up with what you talked about. The only work I could see that he did was emailing me about how the judge was biased against men and I should just give up and file bankruptcy. I have minimal debt..And I would help him write up a response then get charged for the response and the visit.Than in a court date we had I told him we have court tomorrow he told me we did not then calls me at 11 at night and says be here first thing we have court. So we cram before court he sends me to a print shop while still charging me visit time to make prints becouse he has no printer.Court went terribly he couldn’t remember my soon to be exs name and I ended up losing my house and paying her about 2600 a month and we don’t even have kids.Get a good attorney my new guy actually does work
