I called this law firm because I was dealing with a confusing and scary custody situation. I had received legal advice I was unsure of and needed to get another opinion. The paralegal I first spoke to was wonderful. She was kind and patient as I spelled out my situation in my confused and not understanding the law at all way. I then spoke to Joshua Mathews. Not only did he let me tell him as much as I could about my situation. He asked me many questions and dug into my situation to get a full understanding of what I was dealing with. He made me feel at ease and confident that I could trust my initial attorneys advice but he also gave me a better understanding of what my options were and how the legal system works.

Mr. Mathews was terrible to work with. I contacted him for help and he offered to show up to one hearing. I sent him all of the information and my notes concerning my daughter's safety and well being. I called him right before court and he assured me he read through everything and was well prepared. In the hearing, he didn't say anything. A duck could have went in and quacked and it would have been more than Josh Mathews did for me in that hearing. Do not hire this firm. The front office staff is very kind and friendly, but when it comes to representation it couldn't be worse.

Devon was delightful to work with, she is very professional and does her best to get back to you in a timely manner. This case dragged out longer than I would have liked (but I am aware that juggling multiple people like this takes time,) and some of my questions weren't answered, but overall I am satisfied with working with the Mathews Group. While I hope that I never need their services again (because no one likes going to court), if I do require services they provide, I do plan to go back to them.

Choosing the Mathew group was indeed the best decision I could have made for my daughter's custody case. I went in thinking I had to settle for joint custody and came out with sole custody of my child. The entire team worked very hard to ease my anxiety and fight to win my case. Please do your research! I was in a bind and needed legal representation therefore I hired the first firm I spoke with.This firm is a scam, they make a bunch of empty promising they can’t deliver. Listen to all of the reviews from the past year! I spoke with Devon the paralegal my entire time with the Mathew’s group. On the day of the court hearing Josh Mathew’s showed up to represent me - note I had never spoken to him previously. He didn’t seem like he knew anything about my case, He said next to nothing the entire hearing and I was left to represent my self. Not only did he agree to have my case dismissed knowing it would be that much harder to request any reports but now it is nearly impossible to get a response from their team. When I requested a refund, I was told Josh would review the time he spent on my case and get back to me, not holding my breath. If I could give them zero stars I would.
