I retained Mark for the first time in 2021 because of a dispute where a auto mechanic shop stole the motor out of my truck and I had to file suit against them. The owner ended up passing away so it jumbled things but eventually got back on track. The case dragged on for years because Mark was not pursuing things as he should have. The new owner (wife of previous owner) was able to sell the company without paying a dime to me because Mark failed to file the proper paperwork to prevent such from occurring. I was charged hundreds of dollars in fees over the course of 3 tears for nothing.
I also retained Mark to represent my company in a couple different matters and paid a bunch of fees to his office to which he failed to do his doe diligence and once again I wasted money's for nothing.
As a former law student, I would highly recommend that you take your business elsewhere.

Paid $800 retainer, did not receive itemized invoice to show if and how it was all spent after case was resolved. We took it upon ourselves to remove the pet chickens which offended our neighbors. We believe all Mr. Bayless had to do was file one or two documents and speak with neighbors' attorney. Very hard to get phone calls or letters answered. Sure hope Mr. Bayless sees this and responds. Months have gone by. I will correct this review if he does respond and we are satisfied with the accounting and/or refund of unused amount of retainer.
UPDATE: Over a year has gone by and he has not responded. Recommend you find a different attorney!!!!

Where to even start. I retained Mark Cooper. When I first met him, he was all braggy about winning so many cases and to him it was about the win so he wouldn't take on a case he didnt think he could win. Blah blah blah. Every time we had a court date set, it would cancel right after I packed to drive there. (Was in a different state.) Ex said it was my lawyer who cancelled, my lawyer said they cancelled. Got a letter from ex's lawyer and said my lawyer agreed with them. Wrong. He works for me. He shouldn't agree with something against me. Two weeks before we actually went to court, he bailed on me. I was 6 weeks pregnant representing myself, and lost the 2 grand to retain him for nothing. He was damn near worthless. I hope he retired.
