They helped with selling our home, and honestly I wasn't blown away by the service. They did the job but everything felt last minute, I had to constantly check up for a status or timeline, but they did the paperwork they needed and there was only one surprise. Overall decent I suppose?

I'm inspired to leave a review after seeing a very negative review. I don't get it. I've received only professional, courteous service over the last year while Tim Farley settles my mother's estate. Becky Knight in their Carthage office responds to every inquiry within minutes of me emailing her, even though they're always super busy. When she can't answer a question, she'll promptly have Tim Farley contact me to explain .

Horrible experience. Never talked with Farley until 40 minutes prior to closing! Only paralegal Robin, who is about as lazy as they come. They had all my papers and info at last 5-6 weeks prior to buyers/sellers agreed upon closing date. But waited until 3 days prior to turn in paperwork to clerks office for recording. Of course that delayed closing date, which both buyers and us had scheduled movers around "our" chosen date. Which caused buyers to not get their belongings until possibly up to a month late. And caused us to have to pre-sign closing papers, so we could leave. We are moving from northern NY to Oregon. Had reserved moving vehicle and hotel reservations for 5 days. Needed to keep our schedule.
Then, it was agreed Farley's office would wire our proceeds from sale the day of closing, now on Friday. That was never done. So now hoping they wire early on Monday, otherwise it may be Tuesday before we are paid for a house the buyers are already occupying.
This attorneys office is literally the most unprofessional office we have ever used. We highly recommend using ANY OTHER for your attorney needs.
Update the following Monday....
I called attorney Farley to ask when funds will be wired today, as the lender has already disbursed funds to him. He said he was at a wedding rehearsal and would check into it tomorrow, then abruptly hung up.
This is the most unprofessional unacceptable firm I have ever dealt with. Everyone has been paid except us and buyers have been in the home since Friday....not one cent to sellers.

While handling my home sell Marley came across an issue on my title. This was in Dec 21, I spoke with the account holder and confirmed there was no issue and asked for a judgment letter. By January 22 the issue still existed and I spoke for the second time with the account holder and Marley. She confirmed the POC information and said “don’t worry I’ll handle it that’s what you pay us for”. Fast forward to closing, the issue still exists and she confirms she forgot about it because of being busy. I would have continued to work the issue myself if I hadn’t been told it was handled. I still don’t have all the money from closing, as it sits in escrow waiting for someone who was paid to handle an issue to handle the issue. 60 days seems a normal amount of time to handle an issue.

We used Atty. Farley's office 10 years ago when we purchased our home in upstate. The office was fantastic at that time. As a result we reached out when we were selling the property. Our experience was not the same as a seller vs buyer.
We had to reach out for follow ups. Our closing was changed the business day before. Closing finally took place on August 30th. We were told paperwork and check would, be sent overnight. We finally received the check Satuday, September 11th via USPS 2nd day mail. The check was dated August 31st the day after closing. The check we received was not issued as a cashier's or certified check. As a result we needed to wait the normal 10 business days for the check to clear. Just to recap. Closing, Monday August 30th. Buyers have possession of home, August 30th. Seller receives check on September 11th. Twelve days after closing. Check deposited on Saturday, September 11th. Check finally cleared and funds available to sellers on Wednesday, September 22nd. Which is 23 days after closing.

The staff and Mr. Farley himself are wonderful to work with. They explain things and tell you what to expect. Very professional and honest. We have used this office several times. HIGHLY recommend!

Closing on our house tomorrow and got the bomb dropped on us that we were going to owe over 1600$ when we were originally informed would be a couple hundred. We had set aside $1000 incase they went high. And when we asked if we could pay $1100 and the rest in two weeks when we got paid again he said he would cancel our closing and wouldn't work with us at all. This law firm only cares about money and not about its clients especially military clients. If you are working with tlc realty they use him but there are other options. Take your business to someone who cares about its clients.
