I’ve stayed at dozens of base hotels. Definitely in my top 3. Nicer than I was expecting. Great rooms, super clean, free meals, nice common area, gym was good, and they have a huge “Lending Closet” with appliances, office supplies, games, jumper cables, you name it. Worth every penny.

I stayed at this location for a week during a conference and had great service. The room and breakfast were good like most IHGs, but they really went above and beyond when I realized the next week that I had forgot some of my tan t-shirts from deployments that were sentimental and they went out of their way to ship them back to me no charge.

These are very welcoming people who run this establishment. Front desk was so helpful they even gave me directions to a great dentist due to a dental emergency that had befallen me.

Overall a perfect stay.

Spent 8 days here (TLE) room was big. There is plenty of room for a family of 4 and a 95 lb dog. The front desk was very friendly and could answer all our questions. They had a dog park, grills, and an outdoor fireplace. The only thing that would have been good to have in the back maybe would have been a playground for the kids.

I had a comfortable stay in a clean room for a reasonable price at this hotel. Even though they don't provide daily cleaning service, it wasn't an issue for me. I could get extra towels and other supplies by requesting them at the front desk. The staff was friendly and efficient during the check-in and check-out process. They even granted me an extra hour for check-out. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely consider staying at this location again.

I rode my motorcycle to Ft Drum from Myrtle Beach to see my son and stayed at this hotel for two nights. The checkin process was simple and the rooms were great. I had no complaints about this hotel at all. The rooms were spacious, modern and super clean.

You need base access to get to this hotel. You have to stop in the main gate visitor center and pass a background check and your vehicle is subject to search.

There was plenty of parking and the lot was well lit.

I need to go out of my way to mention Ms. Shannon who checked me in. She was super nice and even the next day she checked on me when I was passing through to see if I was ok. I did ride 18.5 hours straight on the bike and was very tired when I got there.

I know the next time I go to Ft Drum, I will stay at the Candlewood solely based on this experience.

Oh yeah, breakfast wasn’t huge but it hit the mark. Coffee was available all day. I’ll post some pictures of the room and btw all the rooms are the same. Fully stocked kitchens with plates and everything you need to make cooking simple dinners easy.

Bring a hair clip to secure the curtain. There was a sliver of light that got me when I was sleeping.

There is an outdoor fireplace and two gas grills almost forgot to mention that. I did forget to take a picture of it.

Well worth the 100.00 a night if you get your moneys worth.

PCSed to Fort Drum and I had to stay in the hotel with my family for a month. I have to say, despite the fact we were living out of our luggages this hotel was very nice and made us feel comfortable. Staff and service was amazing. They do some pretty cool events here too like movie night for the kids and many other things. The breakfast stays open for a decently long time but I will say the breakfast food taste awful even for a hotel. However, they do have a large variety of food to choose from. Overall great experience staying here and the staff is very welcoming.

Perfect spot to stay if visiting Fort Drum. Rooms are clean and up-to-date. Nicer than the Candlewood Suites in Watertown.
