When considering Bhurtel Law Firm PLLC, please be aware that contested divorce filings start at a minimum fee of $15,000, with attorney Durga Bhurtel billing at $400 per hour. Despite New York’s 50% divorce rate, other attorneys I’ve consulted did not require such a significant upfront payment. As an immigrant, I understand these costs can present additional challenges. I’m sharing my experience through Google ratings to help inform potential clients about the financial commitment involved. Not using a service does not diminish one’s right to provide honest feedback—just as a customer might report expired items in a store without having made a purchase.
