Elisabeth Barker did outstanding work on my child support case. Attorney Barker without a doubt puts her clients first. Her skills and hard work is surpassed by her modesty and compassion. She knew my daughters are everything to me. The more trust I put into her the more I could see she truly cares about her clients and fights for what is important to them, she is incredibly prepared for court and always kept me informed. Sometimes you feel like the deck is stacked against you, but Elisabeth took her time to explain things to me, met with me even after hours taking time out of her personal schedule to accommodate mine so that I would feel comfortable prior to court. Elisabeth truly helped me maintain perspective along the way – I appreciate that to this day. Elisabeth is honest and forthright, she looks out for her clients’ best interests. I highly recommend Elisabeth Barker to others for representation.

She was appointed as an attorney for my child in a custody court case and I couldn’t have asked for a more attentive and experienced lawyer. She’s extremely focused on the welfare of the child, a wealth of knowledge and was always ready for appearances. This woman is amazing! She has really fought for myself and my child. She is very knowledgeable and great at what she does. She's very caring, nice, attentative...and when representing you she is very organized, focused and determined to do what's best for you and your family. Pricing is very reasonable. Definitely would want her with me going through a divorce.

My wife and I hired Ms. Barker to handle a child custody case. We live in another state. We paid Ms. Barker a $1500 retainer and for the first part of our case she did a fine job. Our bills from her office have always been paid timely. However, there has been a glitch with our child support payments and we cannot get Ms. Barker's to return any calls to us. We have even gone so far as to file our own paperwork to have the case return to court. We know that she is still seen regularly in the child support court. But she WILL NOT return our calls and now we must find another attorney and start this process again. Please hire her with caution!

I hired Elisabeth Barker and she was highly professional and extremely knowledgeable in her field. I gave her all documentation and she handled everything. She took charge in court, which allowed me to focus on my health. My family and I were very thankful for her help and dedication. I highly recommend her.

We had the same experience as other reviewers. We paid thousands of dollars up front then had to take time off from work to chase her down at her office to get her attention. (Usually off on vacation). Few if any return calls. No attention to details and sloppy record keeping. When we did get her to a meeting she repeatedly asked for (and billed) information that had already been given to her. She was good friends with the opposing counsel and the only activity our case got was when he would tell her what to do. Not saying this because we didn't get the results we wanted. Saying that we never felt she cared, did the work, or was knowledgeable. We looked into filling a complaint with the bar and would have if she hadn't taken all our money. She gave the same story up front as on her web site about caring, personal attention and experience - don't listen.

Betsy, as I was introduced, is very fair, honest and one of the most comforting attorneys I have met. Being a contractor in these litigious times, I know my share. I sat with three family lawyers, Betsy was the obvious choice. I was first greeted by a smiling, upbeat Amy, Betsy's assistant. What followed at my consultation was a firm approach, with a calming confidence. Emails were answered in 24 hours or less. In the end, my wife and I settled out of court. I wash shocked at my return of retainer. Exceedingly fair. Thank you Amy and Betsy! Kevin

As with many other reviews here, our experience was extremely disappointing. Paid for consultation and an additional $1500 as a preliminary retainer for a grandparent visitation matter. Received no response to inquiries regarding the case after waiting a month, only thing she did right was refund our retainer. Only gave one star for this review so I could warn others, do not engage this attorney. I would have left a solid negative five stars if possible.
