The gist is this: I was in a car accident where the other party failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and smashed into me from the side. I believe this was a winning case that fell flat for me and I advise you, as someone seeking legal services, to check elsewhere.

The insurance (State Farm) accepted fault on the other driver's behalf early on and I still had to fight this out for just shy of a year. A few conversations felt as if they were looking out more for the best interest of the insurance and I had to push my lawyer to do more. In retrospect, I was also given bad advice on the Property Damage portion that hurt my case from that point on.

I was provided a settlement offer but my opinion is that the insurance bulldozed their way into the numbers they wanted. I no longer had any confidence in Bergquist seeing as they were all but saying it was the best we were going to see. I imagine the lawyer likely hit the target they were fine with to wrap up given how long the case lasted. Looking at it now, I think to myself why would they continue to fight for me to get another few bucks if they wouldn't stand to gain much else on their end.

I am completely disappointed with the outcome and disappointed with the efforts from the Law Firm. I should have done more research as opposed to going with what was recommended to me by my chiropractor. Thinking any company exclusively has your best interest in a situation like this is ultimately the life lesson I took away from this.
