A called that office on three separate occasions and asked to speak with Mr. Spephens. The first time Derrichk told me he was out of town and he would give him the mesage. I called again about three weeks later, and Derrick told me Mr. Stephens was in a meeting and he would give him the message. I called again about two weeks later and spoke with Derrick again and explain what services I was seeking from Mr. Stephens since I had not received any returned phone calls. At that point, Derrick told me Mr. Stevens said he would not be interested in taking a case in which I was seeking to collect $8,900 from a customer for a breach of contract. Needless to say, that was only one of my 3 cases. The other 2 were for $11, 700 and $42000, respectively. Since then, in realizing how unprofessional they were, I found two other attorneys who were more than happy to work with me on my three cases. I guess that's the way it is when you try to patronize your own people, and they think they're too big to help you or even speak with you. At least several other attorneys who turned down the cases still spoke with me and offered advice. That is definitely more than I can say for Mr. Stephens especially since I held him in high regards based on what type of attorney I was seeking for a long term relationship with my 2 companies. I definitely hope they get it together and stopped fronting like they have it together. This profession has a bad enough name already.

Derrick Reed and Marrick Armstrong represented us in what was a frivolous lawsuit. We we were very happy with the outcome but most importantly was the calm and confidence they had in us and our case. Terrible customer service. Horrible communication skills. Mark Smith filled all of my documents with the wrong business name. Instead of fixing his mistake, he fired me as a client. I then had to hire a new firm to fix all of his mistakes. Just don’t hire this attorney. There’s plenty of qualified attorneys who actually work in their clients best interest. Mark Smith is the worst attorney in Houston. Avoid them!

Ghazal A. Vahora is an AMAZING Attorney!!
