I was injured and my car was totaled in an accident that was not my fault. My insurance company told me to call the other insurance company for help with my car and rental, since they were responsible. In the meantime, I was incurring significant medical expenses due to a broken hand and later shoulder surgery, both requiring physical therapy. Voice mails to both insurance companies requesting assistance and status because claims associate was not available. Many hours of waiting for calls to be returned. I did not seem to be a priority to the insurance company. This is when I decided that I needed an attorney.
