I had an amazing experience working with Jonah.

I had a small, but complex legal issue that resulted in a warrant being issued for time I had already served, and left the state for. Jonah was very communicative from the start, and was able to get me added to SF calendar quickly, so I flew in/out for court in the same day. He answered all questions I had, and was always very good about responding. To top it all off - his price was excellent.

I highly recommend Chew Law for anyone needing reliable legal services in The Bay!

Jonah Chew, Esq. was there for me on the worst day of my life. After being arrested and wrongly charged with several criminal offenses, I was desperate to find the best criminal attorney in San Francisco. I read reviews online, which resulted in my finding Jonah and his firm; all the reviews on Attorney Chew were positive. Jonah had me as a client for four years, fighting for and representing me at every step along the way. He took time to explain everything to me and was always available by phone or email for questions. He was always at my hearings on time, and often would meet with me at a local coffee shop an hour before our hearings to check in with me, strategize, explain next steps, and answer any questions. I noticed that, when Jonah enters the courtroom, he is respected by the legal community right away. I believe that his positive relationships with Judges, Court Personnel, and other attorneys greatly assists his clients when he negotiates on their behalf- the legal community knows Jonah will courteously fight to get the best deal for his client. He did for me- thankfully all my charges were dropped in the end due to his considerate persistence with finding a positive resolution for me.

Jonah is a hard worker working late into the evening and even on weekends to make sure he is prepared for each hearing and his motions are prepared. He is passionate about his cases, genuinely cares for the well-being of his clients, and is a great listener. I would recommend him to anyone- if you have a criminal matter, you are doing yourself a disservice going to anyone else. He guided me through the most stressful, anxiety-filled, and depressing four years of my life, with an extremely favorable outcome. I have my charges cleared because of him.

Jonah is an exceptional lawyer. I found myself in a very bad situation legally, and he was able to get my case dismissed via mental health diversion.
He and his team worked aggressively to represent me. In addition to being highly skilled and experienced, Jonah is a really nice guy with a sense of humor. Never once did I feel uncomfortable or underrepresented in my experience of hiring him.
Additionally, he communicated very clearly and was quick to respond to questions or concerns when I had them. Even though he was extremely busy, he always made me feel like a priority.

My cousin was falsely accused of a crime. Prior to this, she has never been in trouble with the law and maintained a clean record. Jonah was referred to her to handle this matter. He is able to make you feel at ease from the first time meeting each other. No matter how stressful the situation was he always had a calm demeanor. Jonah was consistent and punctual with his replies for my cousin's questions and concerns. He even threw in some jokes to lighten up the mood in during the court hearings. Make no mistake, Jonah takes action in the courtroom and fights for his client. He took care of my cousin and made sure she felt protected. Shared his knowledge and made sure she understood everything that was going on as the case proceeded. I am happy to say that his hard work and dedication to my cousin's case led to its eventual dismissal. I highly recommend him as a lawyer, he's your guy!

My brother had gotten into trouble under the influence 4 years back, and his case only recently got closed. Jonah was recommended to me by a friend of mines who also leveraged his expertise.

Jonah was very understanding and made sure that we understood process and why things had to happen. As we began the process, he made sure to include him for any court appearances, and also strategized with him on a weekly basis to make sure they made the best case in court. My brother's case was quite unique as it soon became the oldest active case in Redwood City, making Jonah show up to court about 50-60 times total.

He is actively provided updates and professional advice so that we could make the best decisions.

I would not go with anyone else in the bay area, but Jonah, as I have seen his commitment to his clients, even his family. I hold Jonah to a very high regard, as he treated us like family.
