The individual people here are all lovely in person but their system was weirdly sexist to me? I was the primary buyer (sole income, all the wire transfers were coming out of my accounts, I was the one reviewing all the paperwork), but they sent the wire transfer instructions ONLY to my husband, like somehow automatically he must be the Real client for literally no other reason than because he's a dude. Put his name first on the paperwork initially too. They apologized when I complained and sent it to both of us the second time but it seems like they didn't even change whatever in their system had him marked as the official real buyer because they sent the "hey give us a rating!" survey to him and not me, too.

C'mon, guys, it's 2023. Either figure out how to make your system believe that actually-joint purchases are real or be willing to consider the possibility that women might ever be the financial decisionmakers for their households.

Our seller demanded a 15 day close, and First American Title delivered the result in a critical-time fashion. The timing of the close was performed by a wonderful group, escrow officer Susie Plunkett, and team members Nicole Baker and Mary Severns. Their care for the necessary details, timely inquiries, and their never-ending patience with our questions, made this process bearable. I have forgotten who our past escrow officers were. I do not plan on forgetting this team, and will continue to recommend them to my adult children and friends who wish to purchase property in the area.

Run, Run, Run, DONT GO HERE!

The definition of a good escrow officer.
a professional that is able to work under high stress, time limits, multi task and have good communications and organizational skills.
My closing date was moved 4 times and I never once was given notification of the change.
After being told multiple times by the receptionist that they're swamped, overloaded and short handed.
My escrow officer Kelly E. goes on 2 weeks vacation. During this time I am sent to her voice mail on several occasions.
NO RETURN CALL of course.
Professional way to handle this. Kelly should of called me explained I will be out of the office, I have turned your escrow over to ( give name) they will be in contact with you and the assurance everything will go smoothly. Then recieve call from new escrow officer, I will be handling your closing if you have any questions please don't hesitate to call.
The day I signed my settlement papers we (notary, my real estate agent and myself) found multiple mistakes due to lack of DETAILS.
This company is unprofessional, lacks pride in there work and uses Covid as a excuse for not doing there job. l
Do not give them your hard earned money!
