Updated Review - As stated in my 1st review, since my son had a second case still open at the time of writing my first review, I would update my review once that case was resolved. This is the update. While my son still had to serve time in jail, I believe that Sam did all he could and most likely my son would have received a longer sentence if it weren't for him being represented by Mr. Burns. There are just some cases where attorneys can only do so much.

I am writing this review on behalf of my son. He and his girlfriend hired Samuel Berns to represent him on a felony charge. From the start Sam was very patient with him and his girlfriend, even though he picked up a misdemeanor charge and another felony charge while his first case was still active. Sam didn’t sign up for these extra cases, but he agreed to take them on anyway. From time to time, both my son and his girlfriend didn’t always agree with how Sam was handling his cases. However, I told them that the issue wasn’t with Sam, but rather that he needs to make better life choices. I told my son and his girlfriend that it was ok for them to ask questions; however, I advised them that it is in their best interest to listen to Sam and do everything he says, even if they don’t agree. I was able to have several conversations with Sam and after each of those conversations, I told my son and his girlfriend that Sam is very knowledgeable and knows what he’s talking about. He knows how the court system works, which can be very overwhelming to the average person. My son and his girlfriend admitted that Sam didn’t have to take his additional cases, but that they were grateful he did and also admitted that Sam really had done his due diligence in figuring a way to work the law in his (my son’s) favor. All along Sam had a plan of action; however, my son and his girlfriend didn’t really see what that was until the end of the case. Sam challenged the prosecutor and investigator and that resulted in the case being completely dismissed in March 2023. My son and his girlfriend agreed that they should have trusted Sam throughout the whole case even when it seemed like things weren’t going in his favor. My son still has a pending felony and misdemeanor case, and we all confident that Sam will do everything he can to give him the best possible outcomes. So there will probably be a part 2 of this review. Thank you very much Sam for all of your time and effort and hopefully when all this is done and gone away with, my son will have learned to make better life choices.

My husband was fighting cases in 2 counties and Sam was able to handle both cases and get one court to accept a lower sentence with agreement of sentence from the other court and he got less than 1/8 of what they were trying to hang him on. Sam took the time to run back and forth to both courts with neither one being in the town his office is in and was successful in all the promises he made. Don’t get me wrong, he was very honest about what he could and could not promise but what he said would happen did ! Thank You Sam !!

Sam Berns what can I say you did it again! Thank you for all the work you put into my case, all the footwork and meeting with me constantly and looking out for my best interest. Big help in the case but also extended but not limited to my family and friends by keeping them updated and informing them what had happen after every court date. My goal was not to go to prison and it was a 90% chance I would but you helped me tremendously by getting me released and not having to step one foot in prison walls!
