Anytime there was an issue it seemed like they would take their sweet time to come solve it. And when they did it was a poor job. We had a major leak from our bathroom ceiling from the apartment above us that went into the deli below us. It took DAYS to get someone to fix the ceiling and all they did was poorly cover up the hole. And now that I've been moved out for two months I have YET to get my security deposit back.

Found a parcel of illegal seafood in my wall while exploring the framing. One portion of the flooring was sagging so I decided to fix it. I opened the drywall and found cans of sea turtle meat and the bust of a rare and endangered swordfish buried in wall. Highly confusing and unsafe as well as putting me at risk for trouble with the law. This company clearly does not care about its tenants or the creatures of the God’s world.

I would not recommend signing a lease with this company. They're extremely unorganized. I was given a ton of incorrect information prior to working with them. I was willing to pay a premium for a new, turn-key apartment and instead I was mislead. They were not ready for weeks after the agreed upon move-in date. The construction was incomplete. Gas meters where not installed in the building, there was no lock box to receive deliveries, counter tops were not completely installed, toilet seat was missing, broken lock on the door, laundry was not installed until weeks later, etc. To make matters worse, they charged me for the weeks the apartment had no hot water or gas (in December, mind you) and ignored most of the issues I raised with them. They also don't answer phone calls and only answer emails at their discretion. There are no shortage of new developments in Brooklyn why bother with paying more for inferior housing and service.

Update: They also illegally held my security deposit with no explanation or response.

Legitimately the worst people in New York to rent from. Not only are they completely unwilling to help (I’ve gotten emergency plumbing before due to this), but we spent A QUARTER of a year with a MASSIVE leak in our bathroom and giant hole in the ceiling... only to receive a $200 rent cut and continuing issues. Nobody will help you, if they do it will be weeks before anything is “fixed”, after I was forced to call the housing department on them I learned they have TONS of citations and complaints. As a matter of fact, there’s been another huge hole in our bathroom ceiling for weeks as I type this, and nobody is answering the phone or adjusting rent after I paid a plumber $1700 CASH to help us. I am sure after this review they will really never help us but please- it isn’t worth it with them. Trust me.
