The consultation service we got through Brigante was very disappointing and my husband tried to contact them twice after our paid consultation (on 2/15/24 and 5/17/24) and nobody has gotten back to us. After not hearing back from them, I got in touch with attorney Eduardo (though FB messenger) on 7/2/2024 and he said he would ask the office to refund us the money. It never happened. I kept messaging Eduardo and he did reply maybe a couple times more and then he stopped replying. I then contacted Brigante, also through FB messenger, they keep telling me someone will be calling us but nothing.
So unprofessional and when you have a consultation that you pay for, you only talk to a paralegal, not an attorney. I’m copying and pasting the first message my husband sent them after our consultation and never got a response.

I do not recommend Brigante at all

Dear Brigante Immigration Law Group,

I hope you are doing well.

I am contacting you about a consultation I had with your office on January 12th, 2023. I am an international student in the US with an F-1 visa and am looking to adjust my status via a self-petition EB-2 National Interest Waiver. The adjustment of status process using this option is divided into two phases: (1) qualification to the EB-2 NIW and then (2) Adjustment of Status. I wanted to receive legal advice from your office for the second part of this process because I worked without authorization while having my F-1 visa, making me ineligible to adjust my status via I-485. Instead, I wanted information about the consular process to apply with my wife. However, the lawyer answered my question differently than I expected. I explained to him that I needed his advice to decide to pursue a change of status. The lawyer told me the information would be like "hacer castillos en el aire" since the first part of my EB-2 NIW is not done or completed.

The lawyer also told me that once I finished the first part of my process, I could go back with us for legal advice, and your office would honor the consultation fee I paid. I know that the consultation fee is not reimbursable, but since the lawyer did not provide me with the legal information I needed, I would like to see if I can get a refund or partial refund since your office did not evaluate my case to the full extent. I paid $250 for a case evaluation for me and my wife. I paid for the consultation after talking with members of your office who told me you could give me legal advice (I spoke with two of your office representatives before scheduling the call).
