Six years ago we hired Richard Hess to draw up a revocable trust for us. Everything was fine until a couple of months ago; we realized we needed to make some changes to the trust. Richard was very busy and it took over a month to set up an appointment with him. He doesn't do zooms so we had to settle for a phone call meeting. A couple of days before the meeting we asked if we could move the meeting up a half an hour. We were told no, because Richard had another client right after our phone call. So we had to keep the meeting scheduled for the original time. 15 minutes after our scheduled meeting I called the office and was told RICHARD was running late with another client. 30 minutes after our scheduled time RICHARD called us. When RICHARD finally called us he said "I understand you want to make some changes to your trust". He didn't apologize for starting the phone call late. We could not complete all our requests for changes in half an hour. When we asked him why he was late calling us he replied "I'm sorry but, I am a very busy lawyer, one of the busiest lawyers." We asked him "really, is that all you have to say?" Then he replied "well maybe you should find another lawyer. " We then asked RICHARD for a digital copy of our trust and he refused and told us to scan the over 200 pages ourselves. His behavior was the most unprofessional we have ever seen, especially from a "busy lawyer." We will NOT be using him in the future.
