Very disappointed in the way she has handled my case. She treated me like a child. Also treated me like she was irritated with me and didn’t want to hear me out. She was to busy to look Through all the documentation that I had provided her with. She also said that she would help me with some of the problems that I was having with my home to be up to par with what the court wanted at hand and didn’t give me directions on what to say, and never did so. I felt like since she has her own practice, but also work for legal aid And she was not getting paid for our case which was Appointed by the “which was what we used She did the very bare minimum. I feel like if you do not pay for her general practice you don’t get the same treatment as if they were to be paying her for a general practice she would fight for your rights it paid, You very much hurt my feelings. When I Expressed my feelings to her, she proceeded to get very worked up at me and got very angry. when scheduling an appointment I thought we would have time to address my concerns.she had something else that she needed to attend to, but she never should have scheduled the appointment if she didn’t have the time to address all my concerns and she didn’t have enough time to deal with my problems at hand. As an attorney, whether you’re being paid or not, you are to uphold the rights of your client, no matter what I’ve never felt so disrespected in my life. I feel like she didn’t have time to deal with my full concerns whatsoever and if she can’t balance legal aid iand her practice, maybe she should reconsider doing both. Whether your clients pay you or not, You took an oath to protect your clients, rights. Also getting back with your client in a timely manner whether it be phone calls in person or email ( she never emails back) that has not been returned, or even answered. Also, it is also your duty to make sure that we get the proper court documentation. All court orders have stopped after the last couple of orders that we got. We don’t get our court orders we do not know what we need to be doing All clients should be treated the same whether paid or not you have your own practice since you also work for legal aid and just because you have a client through legal aid does not mean just because they don’t pay you because the Judge appointed you for this case doesn’t mean we should be treated differently be treated any differently. I would hope you learn from this and do not treat others like you have treated my family. Everyone deserves fair representation no matter what. Sincerely anonymous
