I've talked to Megan and her coworkers a few times concerning my shipments from Alaska Premier Auctions. Every time it was a wonderful experience and everyone was so helpful. Megan has gone above and beyond to make sure that everything was to my satisfaction and any address changes, or anything else, I had to make at the last minute were handled happily and flawlessly. I am very thankful for having a professional organization to work with.

I was charged $32.26 shipping me a single magazine. That is asinine. Initially, they sent me an invoice for $36.73. I had to call, and specially request a ground service, which only saved me about $4.

For reference, If I wanted to send this back to them, and paid for all identical Uline shipping supplies, this would have cost me $ $22.52 via USPS Priority. Nearly $14 cheaper than their initial quote. Returning it via ground, and identical service to what they used, would have cost me $19.47, a whopping $17 cheaper.

Why am I paying nearly DOUBLE the actual cost of shipping?

They claim that that is just what it costs to mail stuff. And that they include handling time into their calculations. It took an employee a most 5 minutes to package this item, honestly, I think that's being generous. I certainly hope that employee took home the extra $14, and not management.

If you're considering using this company, but are unable to pick up the items from the auction house, think again.

I have had a few conversations with management about this issue. It seems, they are wildly inept when it comes to providing their customers with reasonable shipping services. In part, their shipping service, ShippingSaint is to blame. Hopefully they will eventually realize what this service is actually costing their company, lower bids to offset shipping costs, and lost customers.

I recently won a WW2 Japanese flag and picture from an Alaska Premier Auctions & Appraisals auction. The flag was 39" X 37", mounted in a VERY heavy (almost 50 pounds) glass-faced frame. The picture was mounted in a 10" X 14" glass-faced frame. Due to the size of the larger frame, a special box had to be MADE to properly fit the larger frame for shipment. I worked directly with Megan Gibbs (an OUTSTANDING shipping Manager), who was able to facilitate the acquisition of the box required for shipping, masterfully package my items to protect them both during their shipment from Alaska to Colorado, and then coordinate the shipment of my items. The whole process was VERY smooth for me because Megan did all of the work.
I can't give high enough praise to Megan for her pro-active efforts in ensuring not only that my items were masterfully packaged and cared for during the shipping process, but that my whole experience with the auction house was a positive one. I will definitely purchase items from Alaska Premier Auctions & Appraisals in the future. My auction experience throughout the whole process was outstanding!!! Great work done by all!

All of their employees are knowledgeable and professional, and they run a top notch operation. Our experience with Alaska Premier Auctions was absolutely wonderful. They were professional, well prepared and went the extra mile to detail the auction items online . I just had the biggest challenge, helping friends move. Alaska Premier Auction was the answer. OMG! Shawna, at Alaska premier is the best. She worked with myself and the owners of the property to coordinate hundreds..., no thousands, of airplane parts to seven different airplanes. The team transported all fragile parts to her warehouse with care. The auction was a huge success. Not a single hesitation was shown by the team. They were so professional, efficient, and caring. It all made sense how calm it all went when I found out that Shawna's training was in social work.
