Having finally, and happily moved into retirement, my Wife and I have been struggling with planning our estate, and creating our wills. We got that it had to be done, but didn't really know what to do. We had exhausted info on the internet, and checked out several document creation sites trying to figure out what was necessary. And, what to do with them once completed.
After talking with our long time financial advisor, we learned of Himat Bainwal's range of services, and capabilities. So, we setup a meeting and after a face to face talk, we determined his office can help us better understand what we wanted to do, and a pathway to efficiently accomplish our goal.

During our first talk, we outlined the general direction of what we wanted to accomplish. Himat actively listened, and provided a framework of documentation that would properly meet our needs. He then provided some additional thoughts we had not considered. At the end of our conversation, bones of a workable and complete plan existed.
Over the next few weeks, and after we completed a fairly basic questionnaire, and Himat returned a very complete draft of the entire document package. With our completed read through of the drafts, and some minor changes on our part, the documents were finalized. And, in our second face to face, it was time to put pens to paper. Included were changes to our deeds/titles, bank accounts, medical declarations, durable powers of attorney, and others. Costs for services were as agreed beforehand, reasonable, and locked in before we started, and there were no changes or additions.

The documents are all now complete and filed. Our properties, real and personal, assets and accounts, are now protected and we have confidence our intentions are understood, and will be carried out when we are not able to oversee activities directly.

Himat provided not only the service of creating the required documentation, he also helped us to understand what we really needed, how to get there, and the means to do it with confidence and certainty that at a time when things will be complicated and emotionally stressful, all the important decisions will have already been made.

Himat's experiences, knowledge, and thoroughness made the process easy for us. He really got us. Understanding what we wanted to do, and then helped us to understand what we needed to have to get what we wanted. That is not something we would have received from a document/template/form website provider....
