The trailhead to Bloomers Cut. The hike is only about a quarter mile to the railroad and historic Bloomers Cut. Trailhead also has the historic plaque sharing the history of Bloomers Cut.

I'm sure it's a great walk, wherever it is. But do NOT follow the Google Maps directions. From Herdal Dr it says to turn tight onto Norman Ln. Can't, there is no right. In fact, there is no Norman Ln visible anywhere off Herdal. But taking a LEFT on a short side street, I found goes over to Norman. Great right? Then it says to turn right on Norman. Nope - dead end. On a whim, tried left instead - also a dead end. Back up to Herdal and at the dead end of Herdal there is a plaque about Bloomers Cut. This must be it! Walked down the little one-foot wide trial beyond the plaque, and it went right into someone's backyard.

Gave up, went home.
