I was told by a lawyer I need to go get therapy not a lawyer. I'm a victim of domestic violence and they refused to help me. But will help a lazy mother who has never worked in her life and lives off her child's SSDI and lies about her income

I'm not sure how professional this is. But I just got hung up on after being on the phone for an hour by one of these ladies that works in this office. I will be there on Monday to valid a complaint if that even matters. But I thought that that was completely completely out professional.

I was in a women's shelter for about a month. I had an interview and because I didn't want to take my ex for everything they declined to help me. Because of "limited resources". I couldn't afford legal help. I am not able to stay in the home that I was in for 18 years. He has legal representation and I do not. I feel like because I wasn't willing to go for the throat that I wasn't helped. Very frustrated and at a loss. I just wanted some help being guided through the process. But the choices I make that effect him and my daughter are mine to live with so I didn't feel it necessary or right to take away things from them.

Applied for help with them, the only times that they'll talk with you are from 9am to 3pm m-f had to take time off so I could discuss my application. Only to find out I make 4% more than poverty and not eligible. I asked if there were other agency's that might be able to help me. The response was that they cannot give any more advise, since I'm not eligible. I asked differently the second time. I'm not asking for legal advise right now, just an agency that might be able to help me. I recieved the same answer. I need helo and they turned thir backs over 4%.

Rude as soon as I walked in. Not friendly and in times where people need legal help, there should be some comfort not frustration. Couldn't help me cause of "conflict of interest" I understand that but they were rude to me like I'm the problem. Do NOT go here.

Was not ever able to get ahold of anyone much less speak with a real person... Still have NOT recieved a callback from anyone their either so I'm super frustrated.... I also have spoke to a few people who actually say the same thing has happened to them and why be legal aid and be a service for the low income yet never actually answer to do your job...v

These people have unreasonable income guidelines! For two adults you have to make less than $2,100! And they are extremely rude! Never once have I had a decent conversation with anyone from this place! I would recommend anywhere but here!!
