Being a 60+ year native of Colorado, it is refreshing, when a Police department, still protects and points you in the right direction, to overcome a problem, you are facing. Thankful for their service, and their sincere concern for myself and my 7 year old son. Dillon Police Department, as most cowboys with honor, I remove my hat, and sincerely thank you.

I've been in Summit County for 20 years now. I never had much interaction with Dillon police in my life since SCSO takes care of the Cove. Recently I had an unexpected interaction with one of your officers. I was pulled over on the side of Highway 6 to do some aerial photography of the lake. I put my hazards on given the quantity and speed of traffic now a days. An officer pulled behind me and simply made sure I was okay and safe with an incredibly warm attitude and smile. Historically have never had any negative interactions with DPD, and have had great interactions with the officers when they came into my restaurant for food. I don't see you guys much now since I am in college, but thank you so much. I appreciate your willingness to check in on me.

I've dealt with multiple members of Dillon PD / Summit County PD, they've always been genuine, professional, responsive and helpful. Over the years I've also dealt with Denver cops, LA cops, New Orleans cops, NY cops, Texas cops... and trust me, the Dillon and Summit County PD are about as professional and polite as cops come in the crime ridden, gun and drug infested USA... As usual with most cops, those who treat them with respect can expect the same in return; but treating any cops disrespectfully is not advised.

New company vehicle was dropped off in our parking lot (Dillon Tech Center), got a flat tire, could not move it, tow companies were all busy because i70 was shut down, had to leave it overnight. Officer Ropers had the vehicle towed anyway! Despicable public service!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU from the very bottom and top of my heart for issuing warnings and not tickets for parking overnight in the wrong lots! It is Sunday night, and thinking for some reason that it was Monday, I parked in blue lot instead of green. I have had some recent unexpected financial expenses (vehicle problems that cost me several thousand dollars) and I literally TEARED UP when I opened the parking ticket to see that it was only a warning! Within minutes I was parked in the correct lot for the night. My heart is so grateful for this act of kindness after a week of many frustrations and dissapointments, so thank you--it has absolutely made my night!

The policeman was extremely rude & on a power trip. On a Christmas vacation with my family & “didn’t come to a complete stop” ..then proceeded in great detail on what a stop sign looks like, being extremely rude in the process. Way to damper Christmas officer Grinch. I’ll gift you a new attitude.

We got stuck in dealing with a 43 ft fifth wheel and it was right in center of town and the police were so fantastic I just want to thank them so very very much we really don't know what we would have done
