Update 2022-03-09:
I don't know what happened, but right in the middle of handling/assisting me with over half a dozen crucial matters, the advocate working with me began being incredibly unprofessional, unreliable, and irresponsible in my opinion, as he continued to set appointments with me each week that he was habitually late for or even missed entirely, at times not even cancelling them with me or notifying me he was running late.

I've worked with the DSLC on various matters over more than a decade now and never had these issues before. I understand they've experienced many limitations due to COVID-19, but any professional organization should be run with a responsible and communicative approach. I've confirmed the advocate I was assigned is still functional, yet have not heard back from a single person at the DSLC in over a month now -- not even the director himself, whom I have had great respect and fondness for ever since he personally helped with my SSDI and SSI over a decade ago.

I've volunteered for them myself in the past and have been urging them repeatedly the past few months to let me know if there is any way I can help them right now; but again, have heard nothing. The last I was told on that was that he (the advocate I was working with) would be emailing certain documents to proofread/copy edit for them, but received nothing.

They even applied for a COVID financial assistance program on my behalf to assist with certain bills, but the largest one they were sending was apparently never received by the company -- but no one at the DSLC has connected with me to even confirm whether payment was ever sent or not. So my cellphone is in danger of being shut off now.

I tried to speak to CAP (Community Action Partnership) to find out who to 'go above' the DSLC to; but the lady I spoke to said they are apparently in the unique position of being the only 'ILC' in the area, or they are their own governing agency, or some sort of catch-22-type circular relationship that was very confusing to both her and I. The only next step she was able to advise was the exact type of thing the DSLC was helping me with, negating that possibility for me for right now. My hope is, perhaps at least this edited review might yield some forward-moving results.
