Update: I had to appeal to the ARB but they were very helpful and resolved my issues.
I would give them zero stars if I could! Every single year I have gone to protest and everyone was very helpful, they explained everything, and they were nice. This year was completely different. The lady didn't know how to explain anything and got upset when I told her I didn't understand what she was saying. She was no help at all and definitely shouldn't be in customer service.

5 star customer service. I felt the young lady helping me went above and beyond!!! Sandra Lopez was the person helping me, her patience and kindness were off the chart. She could have easily told me I would need to resubmit, instead she walked me step by step through the process and made sure everything was perfect. The icing on the cake …… she sent me a follow up email to let me know my application was processed, complete and everything was in order. I know she will be blessed for her kindness and understanding. Sandra, you are what is “good” about our world. Thank you 😊💜

My husband and I went to protest our taxes earlier. The girl spent like 10 minutes talking about how great the county benefits are and how the retirement is the best around. She then proceeds to give us the runaround on why she can’t lower our assessment. My husband flat out asked her what could lower it and she told us a bad roof would. Perfect! We just got our roof inspected and TWI approved our claim. My husband showed her the claim which showed $20K in repairs and she flat out told us it’s not enough and she couldn’t do anything for us. What a waste of time these over indulgent entitled people are. The audacity to sit there and brag about having the best benefits in the state to the people that pay for these benefits shows just how out of touch these people are. So incredibly rude and disrespectful!

We had a discrepancy with the sq footage of our home so I went to speak with the people at the Galveston Appraisal Dist. These folks are great. I was waited on in a very timely manner and they are just very nice people. Josh helped me resolved our issue and I was truly impressed. This was very refreshing to see good people doing good work. We are lucky to have such people helping us do the peoples business.
