Excellent hotel, I would give this 4.5 stars. It's definitely one of the nicer grand Hyatts. As globalists, we got upgraded to one of their grand suites. The room was nicely designed but lacked character, that is to be expected at a grand Hyatt. The free breakfast was amazing and provided enough variety to keep our interest over our 7 day stay. The location is stunning, offering a nice balance between tranquility and convenience, with frequent shuttle service to and from the main village.

If I could give 7 stars, I absolutely would — and it’s all thanks to Jackson, the standout valet at the Grand Hyatt Vail. From the moment I arrived, Jackson made me feel like a VIP. His attentiveness is unmatched — I never had to wait or wonder where my car was, and he somehow remembered not just my name, but my preferences, every single time.

But what truly sets Jackson apart is his personality. He’s warm, charismatic, and genuinely welcoming. In a resort filled with luxury, it’s Jackson’s energy that made the experience feel personal and unforgettable. His professionalism, paired with a friendly attitude, sets the tone for the entire property.

This hotel is fantastic! The staff are super friendly especially Conrad who brought our bags to our room! They open the door for you everytime they see you walk in or out of the hotel. One of my favorite things about the hotel was the snowshoeing with Patty which was one of the activities. She was extremely accommodating and very friendly. She explained a lot about the aspen trees etc. I do wish the hotel would provide more activities tho especially for 50$ PP for resort fees.
The shuttle takes you into town which is super convenient. The rooms were nice, clean and cozy. You could text for housekeeping. The breakfast was so delicious! BEN and ELAINE at breakfast are the two best people there!! They were so amazing, helpful and personable! They have a heated pool with gorgeous views and hot tubs also. Overall my friend and i had a great time!

My husband and I love the Hyatt properties and this one was wonderful. We visited in August 2024 and had a very relaxing stay. When we initially checked in, we were assigned a room where the elevator kept us up all night and they were able to move us the next day. It was great to have a few dining options on property as well as the shuttle to the village to explore other options. They had an afternoon treat in the lobby each week which was a very nice touch. Overall, we loved our stay and would love to come back!

This is one of my favorite places to stay for a little weekend getaway. The hot tub along the river is its own little sanctuary. The spa services are superb. Food, drink, music, service, and accommodations are always quality. Tasteful, elevated Western vibes. Just a solid mountain hotel experience anytime of year.

We had a great stay at the Grand Hyatt for a wedding at Donovan Pavilion. Justin, the bellman, went out of his way to help get guest to and from the wedding. He, the other bellman and valets made the hotel feel very welcoming. We will be back. Thanks again Justin for all your help this weekend!!

I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Vail, and while the property itself is beautiful, my experience at the front desk was mixed.

Vaihbav, one of the managers, should not be at the front desk—his customer service was horrendous. He was unhelpful and lacked the professionalism expected at a hotel of this caliber. Also do not expect late check out as a globalist! They might grant you 11:30 am if you’re lucky…

Some of the rooms are very loud so request a quiet room if possible.

On the other hand, Merit from Turkey was fantastic! He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to assist with any requests. His customer service truly stood out and made my stay much more enjoyable.

I hope the hotel recognizes the difference in service levels and ensures that every guest is met with the same warmth and professionalism that Merit provides.

One of the best customer service experiences we've ever had.

We did not stay there in the actual rooms - we were guests for a few days. The guys out front parking the cars + the people in the lobby were so friendly and helpful.

The parking tenders in particular also act like concierge people and one of the older men helped me get around town, take hikes, see things etc. They helped us Park our cars, unload our skis, helped with the kids, etc. They did it for everyone I watched.

The hotel is clean, beautiful, Etcetera.

The coffee bar people need better training - my cappuccino was pretty bad each morning but the girls were friendly - everything is spotless clean they just don't know how to make cappuccino (it's all in pressing down the grinds):)!
