They only help who they want. The people screening on the phone decide. They make up ridiculous rules on the spot if they don't want to help you. They don't give a reason why, nothing is on the website either. The reason they didn't help me was because there was an upcoming hearing date... but doesn't everyone have an upcoming hearing? That's why we are needing help. They make no sense.

I am super upset, angry, and furious. I called them over a month ago and I was on the limbo to find out if I was even accepted.

Initially in the beginning they will talk nice and sound helpful but the matter of the fact is they will drag you for more than 20 intakes, quizzes, test, physiological questionnaires, and a bunch of other treatments before you can EVEN TALK to someone in their practice. It’s like you have to pay someone to keep calling them until they answer.

I felt like I was on my death bed before I was about to give up and the games they play is not quite honest. Look at the other negative reviews that people left. I am upset that you held onto me and made it seem like you were going to help me in my family case but you kept me hanging for more than a month. They will cause you stress and strife. I have so much pain from them wasting my time and have been admitted to the emergency room in Cedars Sinai.

I AM SO ANGRY, this center must

SHUT DOWN NOW!

Good luck to all your valuable time if you didn’t take my word for it.

Thank me later!

Friendly staff, they seem like they mean well and the center has a noble mission, but their criteria for who they can help is unclear. It would be helpful to know examples of the types of cases they accept. Just saying they accept domestic violence is still vague, and you might assume that is enough but it might still not be enough to get you real help. Their vetting process is redundant, when all the info is in the documents you submit and the intake interview. You wind up wasting months of your time gathering documents and doing an intake, talking to multiple people, hoping they will take on your case or at least give real guidance, only to be told they can’t help with no clear reason why. If your situation is time sensitive, best to do research call for free consultations elsewhere and try to handle it on your own.

They are happy and try to be helpful when you call them. Problem is they hang you in the air for as long as they want. And once you complete 15 of their interviews ( one month process ) and you dont get on their bad side, they might continue assisting and they drop you in a second for no reason.

This is just a heads up for people to know what I went through.
My opinion is dont waste your time here. You wont get anywhere.

After screening I was told because I did not have children with the person or not married they could not help me with filling out a restraining order packet. I believe this is discriminative and without good reason
