If you live in the SF BAY AREA and have fell victim to a LEMON LAW incident, John Hendrickson is the one to call.
Almost 10 years ago I had a sneaking suspicion that there was an issue with a vehicle purchase.
I found John and gave him a call, he asked me some questions and sure enough there were problems with the transaction /purchase/paperwork. Everything went pretty fast.
The owner of the lot in Santa Rosa had to buy back the vehicle and pay the attorney fees.
Mind you, I had the vehicle for quite some time. The dealer was not on the up and up so I didn't feel bad and I moved on hoping it would deter him from trying to get over on someone else down the line.
Fast forward to this year.
I purchased a used vehicle from Infiniti of Marin. I told the guys multiple times to PLEASE not try to get over on me and to please make sure the vehicle and everything with the transaction was on the level because of a past experience, I knew California had lemon laws that are meant to protect consumers and I even shared a very brief description of the above with them
"No no, you're our neighbor, we wouldn't do that they said"
Well, I was apprehensive from the get , but we are neighbors so I signed the paperwork and took posession of the vehicle. My suspicion was correct. As soon as my mechanic took a look at the vehicle, they knew it was a formal rental car, and when they lifted it up, it was a mess.
Fluids leaking all over the engine area, shoddy previous work that would void the remainder of the warranty (Infiniti told me I still had 20k left on warranty, which would be a false statement by the sales manager)
And other previous damage not disclosed by Infiniti)
Needless to say John Hendrickson got me out of this dilemma also.
I would have owed thousands for the car and about 20k more for repairs with no warranty to help like they had told me.
I won't bore you with explaining all the other dirty games they pulled until I hired John , just know they finally arranged to take the vehicle back and yes, they had to pay the payments back and pay my attorney fees.
My point is ; so many people think that there is only a 3 day "cooling off period" and only if you purchase that option.
They think once they take possession of a vehicle and something untimely happens, they are stuck keeping the vehicle or the repairs are on them, or they will not be able to find an attorney to help them without dishing out even more money than they just spent to acquire the vehicle. None of this is true if the car lot sold you a lemon
I urge anyone who suspects they got ripped off by a car dealer and was sold a lemon, has suspicions that their paperwork isn't on the level (missing details, deferred payments not listed , false information, etc)to at least call John and ask if he can help you.
The initial inquiry is free (consultation) and you get the piece of mind knowing you are not stuck with a vehicle you suspect is a lemon or stuck with a vehicle sold to you under fraudulent terms.
John Hendrickson is super easy to work with and 100% worth your time to call and see if he can help you.
