Sandy is an awesome knowledgable paralegal.

Remember when you hire a paralegal you are not hiring them to make moves like a lawyer.

She does administration beautifully. Everything we have battled with in court, she prepared me with prior. Like a coach on the sidelines. She knew enough about the Family Court and Civil Court to guide me and everything else she sought out legal expertise from the top lawyers in town.

They all respect Sandy and have a close relationship with her. I have used two lawyers she referred me. I always end up going back to her.

Sandy and I have worked together on my cases. She’s an angel full of wisdom and respects your right to make your own choices in the end. After all, you live with the consequences of your choices, even if she has warned you.

She’s fair priced. I have had nothing but great customer service from Sandy. Calls me back in no time.

If and when I need a lawyer, I typically call Sandy to see what we can workout together first and save myself the 5k retainer of the high demand lawyers.

I have worked with Sandy for over a year now. She helped my ex spouse and I complete the paperwork for divorce. While she is very friendly and a "nice" person, she is not professional and often has periods of time where you can't reach her, even for months. It really causes problems when you need legal work done and she is completely non-responsive. Don't believe me? Read other reviews. Or try calling her, 90% of the time her voicemail is full and she doesn't bother returning phone calls for days or even weeks. Often sending a quick text "I'll call you back" only to never call back at all.

Most recently I hired her to do some adjustments to our divorce agreement and she took the money, had me sign an agreement, lied about the cost of the filing fee (it is $60), but she charged me $90. The court used to charge $90 last year, but due to procedural changes around court recorders stopped charing $90 and went to $60 over a year ago. She often takes advantage of things like this - it's dishonest.

She took $600 up front on my credit card. She immediately became non-responsive and even to date, today which is December 3rd, 2024, she was paid the beginning of September, she has not provided a billing statement (requested many many times), never sent me paperwork she filed so I had no idea something was being done at all (even to date, I have not received it) - I had to hire another paralegal Robin Lowe to dig it up so I knew what court date it was.

I'm done. It's exhausting when someone who takes your money and promises to do work is so unprofessional and completely disrespectful of other's time and any sense of urgency whatsoever.

i thought at first meeting with Mrs. Hurley that everything will go as planned for my uncontested divorce and she seemed very professional but was I wrong... not only did I have to keep reaching out to her for any updates, which I feel she should be doing for me, she kept making excuses for her incompetence on my case to the point now she wont even respond to my emails and what should have been a a very cut dry type of case is now 11 months since our first meeting and I'm left in limbo land.. of coarse she got paid a good sum up front on that first day we meet but so unprofessional for someone in the legal system...wish I went somewhere else for help...0 stars from me but had to give one just to post this

If I could give a 10 star rating I would! With 35 years of paralegal services experience specializing in family law I just have to say that God led me to Sandy. I am going through an extremely difficult complicated divorce of 25 years and since he is holding all the money for ransom at this point I have been doing all the filings myself with the very limited help of the county law facilitator.
After I filed for spousal support 8 months after I filed for divorce, my husband retained a very expensive divorce attorney. They have been flooding me with filings and paperwork and overwhelmed does not begin to explain how I have felt.
After a year into it, I called Hurley Legal Services and left a message and a short time later Sandy called me back. She explained to me some of the extremely urgent things I needed to do immediately. I had no idea. I went into her office the next day and we worked for 12 hours straight on my file and my papers. She is an unbelievably kind, warm, self-sacrificing, expert.
I now have great hope that things are going to work out in a just way. I feel like a ton of bricks have been lifted off of my shoulders by Sandy being involved in my life and really caring about my situation.
I have gotten friends of mine to help me with her fees which are minuscule compared to having an attorney. ( which I cannot afford)
Extremely knowledgeable and experienced and professional are all adjectives I would apply to her but most importantly is her real
compassion for her clients. I feel so blessed that God has led me to this absolutely wonderful woman to help me in my greatest trauma and time of need.
She has grace and tenderness but is no pushover, especially in the face of Injustice.

I paid Sandy to fill out and file a form with the county back in September. She never did the work and is not responding to any emails. I would give zero stars. Really unprofessional for someone in the legal field

Sloppy work. She has, over the last two years after I used her services, repeatedly sent me other people's sensitive information and paperwork through the mail and via email. There is no oversight to paralegals - I strongly recommend finding someone else. You don't know what mistakes she'll make or who she will send your information to.

Her reply says I’ve never worked with her. She handled my amicable divorce 2 years ago. Since then she’s emailed me 3 other parties’ divorce papers and financial disclosures. I’ve told her about this more than once and she did nothing. And then saying she’s never worked with me is just an outright lie.
