Unethical Billing Practices – Beware!

I had a terrible experience with this divorce attorney due to shady invoicing tactics. They charged for subpoenas that were never requested or served, and even worse, they billed me for conversations between their own staff. Instead of handling my case efficiently, they seemed more focused on inflating the bill with unnecessary charges.

If you’re considering this firm, be prepared to scrutinize every invoice. Legal fees should reflect actual work done, not fabricated expenses. I strongly recommend finding an attorney with more transparency and integrity.

We met our attorney Genine Ware last year as we looked desperately for someone to represent us in a grandparents petition for visitation. Genine and Lucia have been nothing but helpful and we are truly so thankful for their representation. We were told NO by so many lawyers and even got scammed 5k by someone who did nothing and wasted 6 months of our time. After we met Genine and Lucia the following month we were in court fighting. Decided to go elsewhere. My wife needed to find a lawyer who would represent her on a post nup another firm completed. She was told on May 3rd that they would get back to her at the end of the week. 2 weeks pass, and my wife sends two emails for an update. After that, the lawyer missed sending the link for a scheduled Zoom call. I then noticed we are being charged $49 dollars per email(the emails were asking for an update). At that point, we decided to ask for our retainer back and go somewhere else. Ended up being charged for 3 emails, not only are we out the money, but more importantly, out of the time that was wasted. The place is run very sloppy.
