This guy is great. He’s busy. So if you are needing his help in civil rights make sure to have the main facts and information regarding your case. Otherwise it will feel like a waist of your time and his. Also, he has other areas in which he’s super resourceful regarding recovery from alcohol to sugar addiction. He’s respected member of his community that gives of his time and wisdom. He’s definitely the top pick in the state regarding civil rights and police corruption and misconduct against communities and regular civilians.

If i could give a zero i would! This man is a cold hearted thief, a liar and should not be working for the justice system. I hired him to represent my husband which he never did January 16 2023. paid him 3000 dollars down. 1800 in cash and 1200 on cash app which the 1200 sat on cashapp so long it returned back to me so that right there was a red flag for me. He went and saw my husband once and met with him for 5 minutes. WTH can you learn about someone’s defense in 5 minutes! On top of that before i hired my husband had a public defender by the name of Brandon ball. My husband had two cases which Mr. Ball dismissed one but my husband was still fighting the other case so i then hired Mr. Kallinen. Well as of February 1st i learned from Mr ball that Mr. Kallinen had not still filed to substitute for my husband. So that was red flag number 2 i then decided that i no longer wanted him to represent my husband. I called him and told him i no longer wanted to continue business due to the fact that he hadn’t done much. He then stated to me he did go see him and did some stuff. What is some stuff! I asked for my money back that day and he stated that he wouldn’t give it back because it was he did do some stuff. I then decided to file a grievance against him. In his response to the grievance this man lied thru the entire grievance! Claiming he didnt know i wanted my money back till i filed the grievance. He a liar! He knew February 1st of 2023 cause that is the day i no longer wanted his services. On the top of that he claimed he did 15 hours of working on his case which was another lie. When i asked Mr kallinen had he did any further work he told me no because he hadn’t received anymore money. This man lied thru entire grievance and I’m beyond disgusted with him. Do not hire him. He a complete scammer and not an honest man he will just take your money!!!! That man knew he did not really work for my husband and had never represented him a day in court or outside of court.

***I DID NOT HIRE THIS “LAWYER”***

I was referred to Randall Kallinen from another law firm. He has fantastic reviews. Which are probably paid for. I am absolutely shocked as to how this “man” spoke to me when I was discussing retaining him for a lawsuit. I emailed him (2) days ago with a pretty detailed email of what I was needing to accomplish. He responded yesterday morning, apologized for what my family has been going through and asked me to call him anytime in the afternoon yesterday. I was so appreciative as I read all of these reviews about how fantastic he is! Wow. I had such a different experience. I called Randall at 2:12 pm yesterday received his voicemail, left a voicemail and never got a return call. I called him today @ 4:16 pm and our conversation lasted 14 minutes. He asked what I needed a lawyer for. To which I responded, well I gave a pretty detailed description in my email to you. He alluded to the fact that he essentially did not read eat and asked me to explain it. (Really?). I began speaking and he constantly interrupted me, spoke down to me and was abrasive. I barely got thru the series of events. He said as of right now I see no case.
I told him because you’re interrupting and not letting me talk! Then I advised him that there is much more to this series of events but I said I am not terribly excited about how he handled our conversation. I asked him why he told me to call him if had zero interest in my case. He said I have people at my door, I won’t answer that. To which I said: I think you’re a weasel and lying. I wish I could say something positive.
I have nothing.

I appreciate aggressive lawyers as I know they will fight for me but there is a difference between aggressive and down right despicable. Use your attitude on opposing counsel, not on a potential client.

Mr. Kallinen took several hours of his time... on a weekend!... to discuss a potential civil rights violation case with me. The case potentially could have required some action on his part by midnight tonight (Sunday), and he was more than willing to burn the midnight oil to accomplish that.
He is extremely knowledgeable and patient with questions. Believe me, I asked tons! Moreover, he provided excellent, easy-to-understand responses.
I would absolutely without reservation recommend Mr. Kallinen to anyone considering pursuing a 1st Amendment violation case. (Or honestly, any other case he's willing to take-- I'll definitely be keeping his contact information for the future.)
Although we have not yet decided whether to proceed with a lawsuit, Mr. Kallinen was so great in discussing our options that I wanted to write this review. I can guarantee that if we do decide to file suit, we will be using Mr. Kallinen's services.

I want to share a DOJ discrimination report I have started as I am done with the daily ignorance and discrimination of state, business, and non-profits in providing equal access to persons with hearing loss. TTYs and TDDs are outdated and compatible only with landline phones which almost no one in the deaf/hh community uses anymore. The level of apathy and exclusion experienced even at upper levels of our country is a disgrace to those who fought (and died) for our civil rights. If there's such a push for cultural sensitivity and communication language needs for the trans community, why the hell are the deaf considered irrelevant?

Dishonest! A one star is not even a good rating. It should be a zero. He represented the folks he was paid to defend against. He played us like we were uneducated and stupid. He was all about making easy money and charged us way over for what he should have charged. He is all about money and just wants to be in the limelight. If he cant be in the limelight then you are useless to him. He pretends to care about the well being of minorities but they are just dollar signs to him. I hope he can sleep at night swindling people out of their money. A sheep in wolves clothing. He is not to be trusted!!!!
