Hard working attorney I’ll tell you that, took care of all my needs fast and efficiently. You do have to communicate what you need and stand firm in that. As an attorney they will try to do what is easiest and best in their opinion. Very professional and responsive, but you will need to stay on top of following up and your payments, the faster you pay the faster your services are completed would recommend to anyone.

Very Disappointed! I chose to call the office based on past experience and the fact that she’s a Good African American Attorney but this last interaction proved me wrong. I received a citation on Wednesday 7/5/23, I immediately called Evelyn Lewis office the same day and spoke to someone in regards to the citation and let them know the date the ticket was issued and the day it was due which was 8/10/23…they said they would get back with me. The remainder of the week went by and I haven’t heard back, so I called back the following Monday 7/10/23 to follow up since I haven’t heard anything back yet, I again was told that they would take my information down and get back with me…I let the week go by and still haven’t heard anything back, I followed up again and was told Ms.Lewis was in court and as soon as she gets out she would contact me…I received a call back Wednesday only after I called Wednesday morning 8/9/23 and they asked me the County information for Citation again and I was informed they they would past it along…Fast forward to today 8/11, I finally received a call back from Ms.Lewis basically telling me she couldn’t help me due to that part of Illinois not being her legal area, which is passed the date the citation is due. So now I’m stuck with the possibility that I may have a warrant out for my arrest due to the lack of communication and professional from Evelyn Lewis Office…would not recommend…Thanks for NOTHING!!!

No matter what time you call the office there’s no one there. The receptionist takes a message and you never get a call back. I called yesterday to get updates about my niece and the lawyer was rude and hung up on me then turns around calls my Sister with a attitude and yelling at her as if she was a child because so many family members have called inquiring about my niece. I don’t know what his problem was or may be but for him to not understand my family is concerned is an issue. It seems as if the receptionist is the only person that works in the office.
They tell you they will keep you updated but they only call after you have called multiple times throughout the day. My niece had a bail hearing scheduled and they never communicated that she wasn’t on the docket with the Family or her. We wasn’t aware until we got to the bail hearing and if they where not there.
I personally wished my Sister would have chosen another firm. I can honestly say I will be glad when our business is done with them.
