This bad review is not towards Legal aid center of southern nevada they have helped me navigate my a.C. issue with my landlord the last 3 years. And this is the first time I had an unpleasant experience with them. I appreciate their help, and all the information that they have to give.

Except for Janica Westerman. When I answered her phone call, she Immediately sounded irritated and annoyed. She was rude if I didn't understand something the first time And was also rude when I tried to correct something, she misunderstood about my case. I remained calm and collective. But she was still treating me like I was doing something wrong getting legal advice. She didn't allow me to finish explaining my whole case before trying to give me advice with an attitude. I completely understand everybody has a bad day. But these people calling in for legal advice are already stressed, in debt, and confused, tired and probably running on their last options. They really need somebody more patient and understanding on the other line, giving them legal advice.

Again, the facility itself has been amazing. The past three years. It was only this experience with this individual that shocked me.

I do appreciate all the lovely people thatvhavr helped me over the years at this facility. Thank you again.

Unfortunately though, this time I did not get any questions answered. She wouldn't allow a constructive conversation with her attitude.

LACSN is a real blessing to people like me who can't afford a lawyer. The staffs are professional and very respectful, especially Jason Fisher, There was a time I didn't have money for some documents I need to bring in and he helped me out of his pocket. A real organization with generous staffs. Thank you again for your help.

Very helpful, I had to go a couple times to get answers, only because I didn't pay enough attention or write down some of the important things I needed to do, when everything is done I'll be commenting more.

I got my account disactivated. Ms.Carina and Mr.Jason (Attorney) helped me with record of sealing to get my account back. Everything was easy and smooth. They are professional and very polite!

I've had a very frustrating experience with this office. While they initially offered consultations, their advice led me down a path of extensive, ultimately unsuccessful, self-representation. They provided a large, daunting application packet requiring substantial documentation, with no guarantee of acceptance.
My core issue involves documented instances where the local court has allegedly falsified documents and made false statements about my case. This has continued despite my own successful appeal to the Nevada Supreme Court, which ruled in my favor. The local court appears to be disregarding the Supreme Court's directives and has even made what I perceive as threatening remarks in response to my continued pursuit of justice. When I raised these specific issues with this office, I was told they could only assist if I didn't ask them to address the core of my complaint – the alleged falsification of documents and misrepresentation by the court. This condition seems unacceptable, especially given the recent Nevada legal precedent involving a big casino personality that emphasizes the right to report misconduct by public entities. I believe my rights are being violated, and I'm seeking legal assistance to address this alleged court misconduct and ensure the Supreme Court’s orders are enforced.

I have used them twice over the years for two different issues. They managed to resolve my cases however I will say the paralegal Elizabeth Montes is unpleasant and rude. I recommend anyone who is assigned to meet with her for an intake to ask for someone different that will treat you with respect!
