My family found ourselves in a very sticky legal battle, and sought the help of Jeff Robertson. He was amazing. Jeff listened to our needs, and was realistic about the potential outcomes. He was respectful and kind, even when we were distressed. Our case was challenging, and he had a lot of personalities to work with, but even so—he answered all of our questions in a timely manner, prepared us for the “what ifs,” and went to court prepared. I’m so glad we decided to trust Jeff Robertson, and will never forget how he helped my family in our time of need.

Mr Robertson represented me through a major trauma in my family. From the moment I met him I felt welcomed and relieved to have found him. I felt nothing but support and encouragement from he and his staff. There was never a time I felt like I was underprepared or uninformed. Any questions I asked outside of our meetings were answered within hours usually far less. He viewed his time as valuable to me as it is to him and never wasted it. He’s a man of few words. A person who methodically thinks through his response before giving an answer. One of those rare people who are gentle and kind but also have a personality that demands respect. Always on time, organized, confident, and efficient in the courtroom and in his office. I would absolutely recommend him to everyone I know!

Do NOT use Jeff Robertson!! I have worked in customer service related jobs for over 10 years and for that reason, this is the first negative review I've ever written. It's also the worst service I've ever received. Jeff was fantastic in our first initial consultation for my divorce, but after that he disappeared and I never got to speak with him again other than to sign the final paperwork. I had to deal exclusively with office admins (they had three in the few months my divorce took) and his assistant (I believe also his wife), Michelle, who was TERRIBLE. She almost never answered her phone, they wouldn't give me an email address for either of them and when I would stop by the office (during their posted business hours) neither her or Jeff would be there. When I did speak with her, Michelle was unimaginably rude & unprofessional, I could never imagine talking with a client/customer the way she does. My divorce has been final for 3 months and they are STILL hanging on to a portion of my retainer fee that should be refunded to me since it was not used. Three voicemails and stopping by the office twice and I still have gotten no response. We ended up doing a non-contested divorce without children, very civil, and filled out all the paperwork ourselves from the state website. Jeff's office literally just filed paperwork with the county so we didn't have to go to a court date - and they STILL charged a total of $950. Family Law cases of any kind are some of the most painful experiences clients can go through and this company couldn't possibly care any less. Jeff's office literally caused me MORE headaches than my ex-husband did!

This man truly cares and wants what’s best for the children. No matter what happens in the domestic case, the kids being taken care of by GOOD parents/guardians who care is always his priority. And he truly wants to help you as well. Mr. Robertson might seem gruff on the outside and quiet, a man of few words, but he has a heart of gold and will do what’s best for you and your kids.

If you are going through a divorce, understand this: You are mad. You want to hurt your soon to be ex. If you have children, your anger is going to have an adverse effect on your children.

KEEP THE CHILDREN OUT OF IT. They are precious and need to love both of you, and not be made to feel guilty by either of you for loving the other parent.

I have used Mr. Robertson's services several times since 2001. The fact that I have gone back for his family law assistance several times (5 times to be exact) should say all that needs to be said.

Understand this: Nobody gets "everything they want" in matters relating to Family Law. Mr. Robertson's advice and counsel helped to guide my cases through the courts and reach amicable resolutions.

Again, I may not have got everything I wanted; but neither did the other party. Looking back through the the last 15 years, Mr. Robertson has probably saved me tens of thousands of dollars in unnecessary "angry" expenses.

I would definitely use his services again. No question.

I honestly wish i could rate him negative stars because that is 100% what he deserves. If you want a lawyer who literally NEVER replies to any phone calls, NEVER looks at your case until he's in front of the judge at your court date, is completely negligent and rude to his clients, and will most likely result i'm having your sentancing worsened, then look no further because you have found your guy! Jeffrey ended up getting my 90 day breathalyzer sentance turned into a 2 YEAR sentence because of his complete lack of effort in my case. in hindsight, I would've been better off representing myself and i would've saved myself a lot of money doing it. My mother and I live well over an hour away but chose him due to his "years of experience", we clearly made a horrible judgement call. He refused to speak to both of us on a 3 way call because we both work very different hours and had no time to personally drive the hour+ drive to his office just to have a phone conversation. If you want to talk to him, just know that it will take at least 3-5 business days to receive a call back no matter how many times michelle promises he will call you back ASAP. He never looks at your case until the day of court and therefore usually doesn't have a clue about what's going on. He will go to court dates for you and never let you know the outcome until you repeatedly call his office and wait days at a time for a response. Every single thing jeffrey promised would not happen to me, happened. As soon as you hire him, he does a 180 and no longer cares at all about you or your case. Save yourself the time and stay as far away from him as possible.

Mr.Robertson has to take a person at their word as that is the only proof he has. But if you have evidence proving that what the other party said is not true he will be upset that he was lied to.He wants to be very fair for the sake of the (child or children) knowing that the child needs both parents. Mr.Robertson was the GAL for my. Son's caseand he brought Jeff evidence. Jeff was very fair he is not bias.I would recommend Jeff for your GAL and I myself willalso tell others to use him

Mr. Robertson's office was very helpful in my case. I had to work with them long distance as I no longer live in the Warrenton area, but we were able to communicate through phone calls, email, and mail. They handled my case professionally and were always kind and helpful when I needed to call with questions.
