I met with Attorney Scott McDonald and it was a pleasure to speak with him. To be honest, I had a Car Salesman idea of attorneys but was gratefully proven wrong. He took the time to completely explain and educate me via his experience, professionalism, patience, honesty and humor. There was no sales pitch, just facts…thank goodness. 2025 Update:
I again need to offer an update with respect to my experience with LS Carlson Law. I continue to experience private nuisance issues with my neighbor who lives directly above me. I reached out to this law firm, thoroughly explaining my HOA conflict over a $200 fine and seeking advice on whether it was worth pursuing legal action, as I felt the HOA’s actions were discriminatory. Initially, I was informed that I did have a case, so I scheduled a one-hour consultation for $450.

The consultation itself was informative and clarified the options available to me. However, I was ultimately told that resolving the issue would require a flat fee of $2,000 to address the HOA.

While I appreciated the clarity provided during the consultation, I believe the firm could have disclosed this fee structure upfront. Knowing the costs involved from the beginning would have allowed me to make a more informed decision about whether to proceed. As it stands, I feel that the initial process lacked transparency and added unnecessary frustration to an already emotional situation.
