I was completely ghosted by Emily McClendon and not given an update regarding my case and copies of court orders that I mailed checks in for from out of state that were cashed. It has been 3 months and I have not gotten a response to emails, voicemails, and notes I've left with the front desk to please give me an update. Completely unprofessional behavior especially since she knew the time sensitivity of my case. If nothing else, even just a reply saying my case has been dropped or she can no longer help would have saved me months in waiting and stalling my case due to her refusal to communicate with me.

I am writing this review concerning Attorney Chesley Payne. We used Massey, Stotser, & Nichols to start a business and dissolve a business, with partners. When the business dissolved, Mr. Payne suggested to all parties that money remain in an escrow account to pay final business fees, our business return, etc. All parties agreed. Months later, a tax bill was owed and we discovered that Mr. Payne released funds to one member, without anyone else's approval and without notifying the other parties. He also overpaid to this member the amount of funds that would have been their share. Mr. Payne had no right and no legal basis to do this. In addition, he VERY unprofessionally forwarded emailed conversations that I had with him, to the party that received funds, in error. The firm may indeed have good attorneys, but stay far away from Mr. Payne.

Rick Stotser and his team have become an integral part of our business. Guiding us through negotiations and helping to create a standard for our contracts. Rick and his team are more than a law firm and as I understand it fantastic litigators. They have also aligned us with strategic partnerships, and will share ideas that help us in making the best decisions for the structure of our business...

I called to speak with someone in regards to my tenant-landlord situation. The intake lady, listened and then said…well I’m gonna tell you upfront it’s $300-$400/hr to speak with an attorney. Okay? And? Did I inquire about the price? Obviously I wasn’t looking for pro-bono work or I wouldn’t have called THIS law firm. She said it might be a little too costly and that I should call my other lawyer back. Wowwwwwww. Thanks. And to think someone referred this place to me.

Cindy picked up halfway during my divorce after my original attorney was appointed to be a Judge. She got up to speed very quickly. She was honest with me about my best options, and she worked hard until the end to make sure I had the best outcome for my situation. Thank you, Cindy!

I used Massey, Stotser & Nichols for a real estate closing. It was painless, profession and (crazy, i know) FUN. The attorneys are thoughtful, good listeners and very warm. I never felt like my small piece of business wasn't important to them. You can be very confident that if you work with an attorney from MS&N, you will be important to them as well. Highly recommend.

I would recommend never closing here! The attorney arrived 1 1/2 late for the closing and then proceeded to belittle me because I actually wanted to read all of the documents that I was signing. We felt he was trying to make up time and it annoyed him that I wanted to read each document. In addition, it took over 6 phone calls and 24 hours to receive our wire transfer. In retrospect we should have never left without our money. In other words, someone bought our house and moved in before we received our consideration!
