If I could give zero stars, I would. My husband and I trusted Myra Carlisle to handle our taxes, but she proved to be completely unreliable. We provided all requested documents over three weeks before the deadline, yet she waited until the day before taxes were due to inform us—via a vague email—that she would not be completing our return. She offered no explanation, no assistance in finding an alternative, and made it clear that her decision was final.

This level of unprofessionalism and poor communication is unacceptable, especially in a field where timeliness is crucial. We chose her based on a recommendation, but I strongly advise others to avoid her services.

I was referred to Myra and initially had a positive impression after our 45-minute conversation. She seemed knowledgeable, and I was very looking forward to working with her. As requested, I sent over my 2023 tax returns for review. However, the next day, I received a brief email stating, "After reviewing your S Corp return, I have decided to decline this tax engagement." No further explanation was provided.

I respect any professional's decision to decline clients, but I believe it's only fair and professional to at least offer some reasoning. I reached out via email and phone for clarification, but my attempts were completely ignored. This left me feeling disappointed and concerned about whether there was an issue with my prior tax returns that I should address.

While I initially had high hopes, I found the lack of communication and transparency unprofessional and inconsiderate.
