When I called this place, the woman who answered was very knowledgeable and asked a few questions in order to find out what legal services I needed. She was very patient with me and she even answered a few of my questions honestly. She lets you know if you're eligible for their services and directs you in the right direction. They are very helpful and very knowledgeable about different types of services and directs you in that path you need. I loved dealing with them. They really helped me with all the legal things I had to ask about when my husband passed. Thank you for being there.

I went here for needing help coming to agreements with financial institutions.
Their recommendation was to sell my house to pay it off, then go live with relatives or a homeless shelter, with 3 young children, until I could afford a place to live.
Do not go here, they do not want to help you.

I have sought assistance from the Bethlehem office for several issues over the years, but no longer. There have been a few instances where their legal aides would actually assist us, but more often than not, we would essentially get told that we probably were "in the wrong" (we weren't) and that they would not/could not help us. Specifically in the past two years, there were two separate issues where after applying for services, the aides who responded would claim that we did not have a basis to appeal and that they would not represent us at any hearings. Just today I had a telephone hearing regarding an appeal. Ms. Renick had told me several times since October of last year to send her all information regarding my appeal, which I would promptly do each time. Yet I would not hear from her for weeks on end. Yesterday she called to tell me that she would once again not be present for the phone hearing, but to fax her the information from the packet that I had received for the hearing and she would "follow-up". It cost us over $40 to fax all of this to her, and then she had the gall to call me before the hearing and tell me that she never said I needed to fax her the information! She claimed to me that she wasn't going to argue with me, yet when she asked what my basis was for the appeal, and I would try to explain myself, she kept saying that familiar refrain of, "(The opposing party) probably is correct and all you can do is make your case"....as if I didn't already know that I would be representing myself! Thankfully, the judge determined that my case WAS in fact correct, with absolutely no help from North Penn Legal Services and Ms. Renick. Her phone call only served to unnerve me and raise my blood pressure. They claim to assist people who cannot afford the price of a lawyer, but it truly seems like most times you get what you pay for with them~ you don't pay, and they don't help. I was considering making a donation, but I'm not going to give them money for being rude, unprofessional and providing no assistance.

They make you feel at ease. They explained everything that I could understand. I had Michelle at the Stroudsburg Office. Her and the girls in that office are amazing. I thank each and everyone of them

If I could give these relaxed, gossiping, thievery, state begging welfare agency, coffee drinking heathens a negative 000 10 million times over, it would not be enough. The corruption amongst all of these government enforcement agencies is immense and all I desire is to see it go toppling down. Jim Butz is USELESS & he will work against you with the court system so you could lose, regardless of whether it's your children, a disability case, landlord tenant, their theory is "we're here to get paid, but you need to seek paid legal counsel elsewhere," although financially you're unable to afford it. Rest assured he has his hands in the pudding along with ALL OF IT.

Put it this way as Ed Crow from North Penn legal as a attorney we are now evicted and find difficulty with the landlord to get access to get Earth belongings they're very little I can even think of in a positive manner towards North Penn legal if you have any legal problems at all I would not recommend using this place
